It can take hours to get the standard definition stuff beamed back to earth. It can take days or weeks to transmit the high definition stuff.
FYI : There is supposed to be a briefing Monday, Feb. 22 @ 1pm Central/2pm Eastern that is supposed to have new video and pics from Perseverance. I'm guessing this will include the multiple-angle landing videos. You should be able to watch it here :
No, never. It will almost always be black and white as well as grainy. The next few pics are going to be even worse -- just white.
The original rovers could take high res pics -- the images from this new rover are going to be incredible.
Perseverance has found an anamaoly that it can;t make any sense of. Baffled, it keeps sending photos to NASA of the gigantic white cloud over planet Houston.
Can you imagine the feeling after spending 6 or 7 years on a project like this...the moment that rover touches down safely? It must be like winning the Super Bowl.
