korn freak on a leash is an awesome video most videos by tool freak the hell out of me and you guys how can you forget the oh so wonderful christopher walken in the fatboy slim weapon of choice video that video was sheer genius
most videos by these ppl are usually good. TooL Outkast Marilyn Manson NiN a couple of busta rhymes are really good (meaning not the one w/ mariah carey) A couple of those mid 90's aerosmith ones are good with Liv Tyler and Silverstone in them, geez i used to think those girls were hot in those! some of bjork's are good (and not oh so quiet) if you could find yeah yeah yeahs live MTV performance of Maps that was pretty awesome, had tons of rose petals falling on her. Michael Jackson - billy jean Smashing Pumpkins - today ill think some more and post later.
The White Stripes have several good videos- "Dead Leaves on the Dirty Ground," "The Hardest Button to Button" and "Fell in Love With a Girl" are all awesome. Two of the three are by Michel Gondry who also did some awesome videos for Bjork ("Bachelorette") and Radiohead. Other videos to check out: "Coffee + TV" by Blur "Hurt" by Johnny Cash (if you don't cry while watching this you are a robot) "Imitation of Life" REM "Free as a Bird" The Beatles the new Ludacris single has a really funny video, too...
Underworld - Rez/Cowgirl off of the "Everything! Everthing!" DVD. Amazing DVD, 1 million fans jumping up and down going nuts at once. http://www.dirty.org/underworld/watch.html http://www.mtv.com/bands/az/underworld/audvid.jhtml
no mentions of the greatest music video artist ever? Like A Prayer - Madonna great great song, great great video. anytime you can squeeze a black jesus/saint, interracial making out with said person, stigmata, and burning crosses into a video and pull it off perfectly you've done well. burning crosses and you win the viewer's choice award at the vma's. that's a pretty fine line to walk.
I'm about the biggest NIN fan you'll ever meet, but like Reznor has said himself... that song now belongs to Johnny Cash, and it is definately the best music video I've ever seen. On a side note, even though it belongs to Johnny Cash Reznor is still playing it on the current tour although he's not ending with it this go around. Nine Inch Nails - March of the Pigs May be the simplest video ever made, but it does the job... and is one of my favorites to watch.
