So the Texans extended Cooks. This might be the most positive thing I have seen from the Fannin crew in a few years. This to me translates the tear down is over. This gives a supporting vote to Mills. Evan O or Ekwonu might make this line from sub par to above average line. 'Im not here to debate the Financials. It's just a turn on the recent fire sales. It's a big nod that what we have is going to get going at some point. I have had 3 vodkas.
Good with this extension, don't care about the money but a double digit touchdown season would be nice
Yeah, I think it's definitely a positive move. It also shows how important it is to have a competent GM. Because regardless to how you feel about Davis Mills, Caserio knows that next seasons QB draft class is STACKED, and he HAS TO KNOW by next season if Davis Mills can be the guy or not. And he won't know that without giving him weapons. I don't know if the rebuild is on the uptick now, but it definitely tells me they think Mills could be the guy. I'd expect for sure that they draft a RB, WR, and a TE to ensure that we can thoroughly evaluate Mills.
Nice contract for Cooks, who has produced everywhere he's been. I think Mills can be the guy -- his vision and touch on his passes are superb. With some help on the O-line and a playmaker on offense, his numbers could really go up.
That’s a fair contract for Cooks when compared to his peers. When you look at his per game numbers with Adams, they’re pretty similar. He’s got an advantage in TDs, but that should happen when you have Rodgers throwing to you
Cooks is the type of guy you want being a leader in the locker room, it’s time the salty malcontents sit down, and let guys with inspiration give the pep talks. This was a good deal for Cooks; and the Texans did right by a guy doing it right in the NFL.
I like this and it really shouldn't preclude us from nabbing one of the higher end wr in the draft. Need to give Mills some nice weapons.
