Good call on Hibbert. As I said, big men go in the crockpot and cook slowly over time.

As for Memphis I wouldn't call it ineptness nor impatience. They have an all-star caliber player in front of Thabeet. When they drafted him, Gasol hadn't developed into the player he is now. Hasheem, now, is slough to them and likely won't get the PT he needs. Might as well flip him for another position of need before losig him for nothing. Bud could be that.

Morey's Best offer for Thabeet would be a conditional second round pick and enough cash to cover Chase's Salary for the next 2 seasons.

That way not only do they dump the 10 mil the owe Thabeet over the next 2 years they also get a free look at Budinger and a High Second Round Pick.

Thats a pretty nice Package. Unless the Bull offer something Better I don't think many other teams are jumping at the bit take on a 10 million dollar porject.

Thabeet never been a number 2 pick he should have been a Low first rounder. He still has alot of value for the the right team and I think we could be the right team.

Verse. I don't know if Gasol is an all-star caliber type center, he is definetly one of the better young bigs. Thabeet obviously needs time he is rediculously foul prone, but if the rockets can broker a deal to get him on the cheap I would pull the trigger in a heartbeat. Morey has surrounded this team with some great talent, but he has really missed the mark on finding a legit shotblocker to help anchor the defense.

The news of Yao really sucks.

If only there was some kind of 7'3", athletic, shot blocking center that is available. Of course, he'd have to be young enough to warrant trading for him to be a part of our defensive front court in the future.

    If only...

    THABEET !!!

Get him, GROW him, keep him, anchor the D, and CONTEND !!!

He will be a GOOD defensive BIG to protect the rim

He really sucked last night, but with proper developement, he can be a force down low. He can be our version of Samuel Dalembert, who BTW is going to be available this summer via FA. We need to get at least one of Tyson Chandler, Dalmebert, or Thabeet.

Come on Morey, Bud and cash for Thabeet. Thabeet would have a much greater affect on the team than Bud currently has. A shot-blocking presence in the paint would help us more than inconsistent scoring. Thabeet doesn't have to do much. Just affect as many shots as possible. Plus, we have better big man coaches than Memphis anyway.

Please GOD NOOOO on Tha beet... The only thing he has is Height.. He has no athleticism, defense, lateral movement, basketball smarts, etc...

I know a family that was "VERY" close to the family that adopted him here... Since High School he is still learning but it might be because he's just not that good.. The only reason he got a shot at college was because of his height, and the only reason why he was drafted was because of height and the supposed raw potential.. Well I can tell you that is all he has.. Height.. He has nothing else to give and I pray the Rockets don't go that route.

Seriously wasn't he a 2nd round pick and got sent to the D-League with 3-4 months after the draft?

This is all that we need. We don't need him to score a bunch. Just be the new Mutombo.

Mix in a little Carroll Dawson, Jack Sikma, Yao and Hakeem and that height becomes great potential again. He would just be surrounded by too many great big men here than anywhere else.

Thats it! I just think we have a way better environment to judge his potetntial. I hope the Bulls dont beat us.

I dont want to go anywhere near NeNe, he is way too injury prone.

Bring him in, I'm sure Jordan Hill will get the timidness completely out of him by dunking on him throughout practice, transcending to NBA games :)

Have the Grizzlies even mentioned trading him?

If its one thing I've learned, its that ClutchFans never guesses upcoming trades right.

They should sell the farm and go after Javale McGee.

There have been "sources" reporting that MEM is shopping Thabeet because Gasol is their C of the future in a contract year and has progressed better than expected.

They reported that Thabeet and Mayo were being shopped but THE MEM GM said that he was "sticking by MAYO not Thabeet on hoopsworld (i know i know)

I would take Nene+JR Smith for Yao's contract in an instant !!!

It would make a lot of sense for both teams:

DEN- clears salary for the post Melo-era.

HOU- gets 2 talented and impactful vets out of Yao's expiring contract
