    After speaking with a Hawai'ian, I learned that they changed it to Hawai'i about a year ago.

    Us mainlanders had no idea.

    Those bastards. Let's recall Hawaii; I want my ' back!

    My only question is, what happens to this little guy?

    I don't think he wants an ', do YOU?

    Well, they certainly busted out a few Hawaiian Punches after the game! :D

    I have to agree that UofH got a lot of bad calls. The Hawaiian recievers did quite a bit of pushing off as well as facemasking, but that's life. I was surprised by the scale of the brawl, but at least UH didn't go out like suckaz. TV made the whole thing look worse than it really was, I think.

    Don't be bitter because you got shut out of the BCS (again).. we were in the best bowl game of the year, be happy it was a team from Texas.

    No, but I know a lot more how they feel than you do.

    What did it cost us? Hawaii is known for this kind of things, punkish thugs who show no class in victory or defeat.. this is true for both the players and coaches.

    Did YOU see what West did? #73 (a bench warming OL) threw his helmet at him, it hit him in the side.. he picked it up, looked around, then he dove into a gang of Hawaii players who were, at the moment, kicking the s*** out of a cougar on the ground. He wasn't aiming at anyone in particular.

    If you didn't see that, then you obvious did not watch the game. There are multiple confirmation stories from players, fans, coaches, and media members who say the fight was started when Brandon Evans (a UH OL) was punched in the face after Hawaii ran out onto the field taunting.

    Given Hawaii's practically criminal record (5 fights in 3 years) for this kind of thing, I don't think I would feel any different no matter who was playing them.

    Sometimes I wonder if people are actually wearing mascot uniforms as they post on the BBS.

    I can see the thought process now....

    (Man, I really want to bust out an intelligent, well-written post on why the Longhorns or Sooners or Huskers sucked this year, but this damn Cougar paw keeps making my posts look like this...gdsjgffdjgfdjgfdjg lfgasdfjsarrahlhjafdl. I don't think people can understand that! Maybe if I keep my post short and sweet, people will respect me for the sports genius I am, and take my words for fact. Yeah, that's the ticket. Here we go...this should do the trick.....)

    LONGHORNS = BAD

    COUGARS = GOOD

    (Take that, UT fans! That'll teach you to rain on the Coogs' parade!)

    __________________________________________________

    Frankly, some people should just stick to the gdjsgfkjgfdkglkfhfhsjfdlkjgdlksjfljksdhgljflh posts. It's just about as coherent, and a little less biased.

    Oh, and is it hard to use the restroom with your mascot uni's on? I bet that's a hassle at home, and especially at work. Just curious.....

    Given the character make-up of the modern athlete, I'm surprised brawls like this do not happen more often.

    I felt like I was watching a WWE 'Lumberjack Match'.

    I'm sure.

    Yeah...and in the end, we looked just like them. That's great.

    Yeah, I suppose that's one way to spin it.

    Another is from Briles himself: It was an embarrasment to the University. Seriously, man: you're defending a big, stupid, classless brawl where we lowered ourselves to the idiot's level. Defending yourself is one thing; looking as stupid as they do and taking a chance at hurting your rising program's future is another entirely. Screw Hawaii's program; with their history of the last couple seasons they don't deserve to be in another bowl game. I just sure as hell don't want to see them take us with them.

    Who says I'm not embarassed?

    I never thought this was a good thing, but you have to stick up for the majority of the players, who, for better or worse, got sucked into that mess.

    I'm just basically sick of the one-sided coverage of it by the media..
