Brady also led the Pats to one of the biggest choke jobs in sports history, losing the championship game after the only 16-0 regular season in NFL history.

He is never going to win another ring with the colts. His dad should tell him this and work out a trade, somewhere not in the AFc, away from the afc south.

Peyton led The Colts to the playoffs again this year with soo many injuries, he makes scrubs in to elite players. The guy wins even though he has had bad defences and no running game most of the time.

The guy has been to two Super Bowls winning one, he is still in his prime, who knows how many he will be to at the end of his career.

That team without Peyton is a 2-3 win team MAX. Hell, he's their O-coordinator, runs practice, calls the plays, audibles when he feels like it and can wave off the punt team.

Ever see the few times Curtis Painter played in relief of Peyton? 'Nuff said.

The worse his team is, the more they rely on peyton to win.

The more Peyton wins... the bigger the contract, the worse the team.

Peyton Manning might be the greatest QB in NFL History.

    Are you ****ing serious?

    He's greatness.

The things he does in games have never been done before and might never be done again.

The contract being worked on between him and the Colts will take into account the fact he needs good teammates. With all the stats and money he's made, Manning wants to win and knows bleeding the Colts completely dry would be bad for his career. He's more level-headed than most NFL players.

That all said, his per season average will definitely be higher than Brady's.

This is so full of fail, i can't believe almost two full pages in and one person called him on the seahawks comment. For those with bad memories the colts beat the bears. The steelers beat the seahawks. Don't feed the trolls.

This is a fair assessment, IMO.

Bottom line: Peyton is the truth and he's the face of the league. I got a bit of a reminder of that during Jets/Steelers last tonight when I had to watch the stupid bubble wrap commercial 40 times.

Isn't one enough? How many people need to say it was the Bears and not the Seahawks?

I would agree with this if you take him out of the top 5 in the playoffs. There are other quarterbacks, yes at least 5 others, who have performed better post season than Manning. I think he is one of the greatest but is given a lot of leeway. Look at this past season. When all the injuries were taking place around him and the Colts won, people were like "Look what Manning did even though some of his best players are out." when they lost it was "What do you expect him to do when his best players are out?" Sorry but you cannot have it both ways. Is he one of the greatest of all time, yes. Is he worth the money, yes. Is he overhyped, a lot of the time he is but as Andy Reid once said, a quarterback is given too much credit when his team succeeds and too much blame when they fail.

It is amazing to me how QB-centric some people's thought pattern is in terms of football.

You'd think Peyton Manning was the one responsible for the Colts defense averaging 16th overall in the last 10 years.

    Team sport? Pft, what's that?

When people do focus on any other aspect other than Manning all the praise gets heaped on Manning anyway. I remember their XLI Super Bowl run and how the defense stepped their game up big time for the playoffs and every game except the Patriots game shut down opposing offenses. Come Super Bowl time the defense steps up, again big time, causing 5 turnovers and one of those is returned for a TD. Meanwhile, Manning puts up an 81 quarterback rating, less than 250 yards passing, 1 TD and is responsible for 2 of the 3 Colts turnovers yet he wins the MVP and gets all the praise. Like I said, can't have it both ways.
