Hey Shaud, weirder $hit's happened. Like Pau Gasol for a handful of crap. Last I checked, Tracy's value hasn't quite dropped that low. Hell, I'll throw in Luther Head just because. It still works under trade checker. Think about it though. The trade actually makes sense for both teams. Houston: P.G. - Rafer Alston_______ Aaron Brooks________Brent Barry S.G. - Von Wafer_________Leandro Barbosa S.F. - Shane Battier______ Ron Artest P.F. - Amare Stoudemire___Luis Scola__________Chuck Hayes ..C. - Yao Ming___________Dikembe Mutombo___Joey Dorsey THAT IS A SICK TEAM!!! Phoenix: P.G. - Steve Nash_________Goran Drajic S.G. - Jason Richardson____Grant Hill_______ Luther Head S.F. - Tracy McGrady______Matt Barnes P.F. - Carl Landry_________ ?? ..C. - Shaquille O'neal______Robin Lopez
Here is a very radical trade that works and really changes the look of Phoenix. Houston Trades: Ron Artest Louise Scola Aaron Brooks Shane Battier Luther Head Phoenix Trades: Amare Stoudemire Leandro Barbosa Houstons Roster Starting line up: Rafer Alston Von Wafer Tracy McGrady Amare Stoudemire Yao Ming Reserves: Leandro Barbosa - PG/SG Brent Berry - SG/SF Carl Landry - PF/SF Chuck Hayes - PF/C Joey Dorsey - PF/C Deke - C Phoenix Roster Starters: Shaq Louise Scola Ron Artest Jason Richardon Steve Nash Reserves: Aaron Brooks Grant Hill Robin Lopez Shane Battier Luther Head Matt Barnes Jarred Dudley This trade would give Houston a starting line up that could seriously challange any in the league and still have a quality bench. Phoenix would loose Amare but would add a lot of quality with Scola and Artest to their starting line up while really adding a lot to their bench. This move would also give them cap flexability. I can't imagine any other team being able to offer anything even close to a deal like this for Amare with out giving up one of their super stars.
Just thinking...where would a front court of Yao, Amare and TMac rank among some of the great Rockets front courts of all time.
Houston trades: Luther Head, Ron Artest, Rafer Alston Houston Receives: Steve Nash Phoenix trades: Steve Nash Phoenix receives:Baron Davis Los Angeles trades: Baron Davis Los Angeles receives:Luther Head, Ron Artest, Rafer Alston Daryll, copy and paste this into word and fax it to steve kerr and whoever is running the clippers these days.
I'll play this game. My guess at the next trade actually involves 2 trades happening almost simultaneously. However, in the spirit of the thread title, I'll list the one that I believe has to happen first, followed by the second trade. Trade #1 Houston sends Head/Barry/Hayes to Milwaukee. Milwaukee sends Ramon Sessions/Damon Jones/2nd round pick to Houston. Milwaukee adds some interior toughness in Hayes, some outside shooting in Barry, & Head can fill the limited role that DJ had played. Houston adds a very good potential starting PG in Sessions in exchange for 3 bench players & gets a larger expiring contract with DJ as well as a 2nd round pick. This trade allows for a future trade of Alston & also makes room for the 2/3's coming in from the next deal. DJ could be kept or released immediately after the trade. Trade #2 Houston sends Artest to the Lakers. The Lakers send Ariza/Mihm/Yue/#1 pick to Houston. The Lakers thinking about last year's playoffs, decide that they need more interior toughness & agree to do the deal for this year's playoff run. The Rockets, realizing they will probably lose Artest to free agency & being convinced that McGrady will never be able to play a full season at a superstar level, have quietly decided to start breaking up the current aging nucleous & start acquiring young talent to build around Yao. They get an up & coming young SF in Ariza, add some youthful depth at center in Mihm, pick up a fellow countryman for Yao that happens to be a 6'9" SG, & a late #1 pick for this upcoming draft. Yue might be sent to the NBDL if we keep DJ on the roster. Well, that's my guess. Oh yeah, this all happens on the last day of the trade deadline.
i say we just take out luther head but i don't know which team will get him. maybe we can get some cash from him, i dont know. i'm not sure. but because of wafer, i think they are gonna do something with him
On Valentines Day, the Rockets will trade Luther Head to the Milwaukee Bucks for a future 2nd rounder...
