    Ok, so something is a non-issue if it doesn't change the status quo viz. Muslims hating our guts. So I could come to your home, waterboard you, rape you with a broomstick, and strap you down while I play the latest Jonas Brothers CD on a loop and it would be no big deal because, despite my best efforts, Muslims will continue to hate our guts?

    Except that "Muslims" is not a single individual - they are billions of people with differing opinions. We know as fact that our torture in Iraq was the #1 recruiting tool for AlQaeda-in-Iraq, meaning that torture increased the amount of hatred amongst Muslims, and turned ordinary dislike into hatred, and hatred into violent hatred.

    Your version is a gross simplification of the situation that ignores reality.
