It's tough, one on hand it was just a drunk girl knocking a hat off, I certainly wouldn't press charges on that.

On the other, the dude has every right to wear it without being harassed. You can argue he should know better, but I'd argue he doesn't have to, it's his freedom to wear whatever the hell he wants without being harassed, at least physically that is.

The nerve of that dude standing up for what he believes in a country that for now is still free. Should he have let it slid? Probably but in todays politics you give the crazy left an inch they take a mile so as an illegal maybe she should have contained her Trump TDS that she’s been taught she has the right to express.

It speaks to the entitlement of MAGA fans that they refer to this overwhelming danger of being attacked because..... they are white? Because they want to wear a MAGA hat at a Berkeley protest?

If I wore a “I heart Antifa” t-shirt to CPAC I wouid be triggering emotions from those who don’t agree with me and putting myself in potential conflict.

MAGA gear, whether you agree with this or not, is now a symbol designed to show that you are... well... a bigot and a racist. Trump has positioned and branded this symbol where you can longer own the symbol as something that means something different for you then it does for the millions that it means otherwise.

Doesn’t mean you should be punched at a Berkeley rally, but the fact is you are purposefully triggering emotions. That does have risk just as it would it I wore a Hillary 2016 t-shirt to thanksgiving with my right wing family members or a planned parenthood t-shirt to Church on Sunday.

Where the sense of entitlement comes in is where this group of white guys all the sudden feel like their newfound DANGER is somehow on par with what minorities feel daily just for having a different color skin. Hence you YouTube guy b****ing about how Smollet got media coverage at first when the MAGA guy at Berkeley didn’t catch wall to wall prime time coverage.

So you wearing a MAGA hat to Berkeley is not equal to wearing the color of skin you were born with.

The MAGA brats like the guy whose YouTube video you posted are proving their entitlement and sense of importance they think have in this country with the special treatment they demand. You don’t want to trigger people’s emotions by wearing a MAGA hat... if that slogan is so important to you...work with Republicans and ultimately Trump to rebrand everything that Trumps political mission statement has stood for since 2015.

To quote Melania...BeBetter... and maybe you’ll be able to survive not getting hit in the face at Berkeley while wearing your MAGA gear that means so much to you.

Black Lives Matters might get you the attention you seek.

The predictable, snowflake conservative response would be ... the black person ought to have known better.

That is not what I said at all, and your tendency to read into my statements and mis-interpret them is growing equally tired.

    I don't support the KKK.

But I don't see why white Americans should be criticized for thinking about their group interests, if every other group in America has been doing the same for 50-60 years.

Those are two very different things. Either you cannot or (more likely) don't want to recognize that.

And shouldn't people of all stripes be expected to recognize and respect others right to free speech? No one should get assaulted for only wearing a MAGA hat or even an Antifa hat.

Mature adults (and even preadults) control their emotions.

It's only this because the leftists say it is. And they are only saying it because they "need" it to be true to keep their narrative going.

Let's take those letters, M A G A. If someone wore a red hat that said that, before Trump became president, would we have justified a violent reaction to it? No, we wouldn't.

The idea that MAGA is a racist theme is another part of the lefttist/PC spin. It shouldn't be accepted as fact or true.

Now, if the hat said "{xxxx} [skin color] go home" -- I mean, actually used those words -- then you might have a case.

The Smollet case is very revealing on this front: the demand for racism in America exceeds the supply. By a lot, I would say.

Did I say they should? Read the part where I said they shouldn’t. I’m pointing out that there are people ... WHEN TRIGGERED BY EMOTIONS, will do things they shouldn’t do.

Again... if I wore a planned parenthood shirt around my nice respectable super conservative mom... she’s emotional enough to where I could see her snapping at me. Possibly a slap on the face would for sure be in play.

I don’t wear planned parenthood shirts around my mom because I don’t want to get slapped... and I understand that planned parenthood to many = abortion on demand.

Not sure how I can explain that much clearer.

Just because this is what you think doesn’t mean it’s true.

Again.. planned parenthood does a ton of good and is not meant to be abortion on demand for murderous commie leftists... but it sure as hell means that to a lot of people given how it’s been elevated as a political hot point.

MAGA doesn’t mean “I’m a racist” on its face but it’s just not reality that given how much the MAGA brand has been tied to such a hot point xenophobic anti immigrant political agenda, it will sure as hell mean “I’m a racist and proud of it” to many just as Planned Parenthood means abortion on demand to my super nice but politically irrational conservative mother.

Agree with me or not... but if you wear MAGA sh$& to a place like Berkeley, you are doing the same thing as me wearing a planned parenthood shirt to my family thanksgiving. You are knowingly or ignorantly creating potential conflict.

But wear that MAGA hat proud bro. If you want to wear it.. go for it.

You wear MAGA hat to get negative attention or to find other racists nitwits.

You wear the gear, don't be surprised when you get what you are asking for....

You are going to have to harken back to a time a long long time ago if you want to make Venezuela great again because it hasn’t been great in a really long time.

Symbols change meaning all the time.

Just because MAGA meant something before Trump took ownership doesn't mean it invalidates what it means now. A perfect example of this is of course the Swastika. Now, maybe in a different time, a different place, it means something else, but get one tatted on your body somewhere and try to explain that you're not a neo-nazi.

The fact is that a lot of people think the hat, the term, is racist.

This, I think, is a simple respect thing. If a group of people say "This offends me, please don't do it," and you can continue to do that thing then of course they are going to be angry at you. You have the right to offend people and insult them but don't be surprised when they are offended or insulted.

Make America Great Again is a campaign slogan. Reagan used in a similar way. Many media outlets have been working as activists and have pushed this violence into the norm. You yourself consumed propaganda in order to think this way, sponge brain.
