I recently bought a house up in Magnolia and looked in Crown Oaks at a few places. I would say Crown Oaks is closer to Montgomery than Conroe. It seemed like a decent place by driving around. Houses on acre + lots. Lots of room to run around. The draw back I saw was that it was 25 min to I-45. I don't see what the big hate on Conroe is. I like it in the area. People move out in the area to get away from the city. Land is cheap, its nice that you don't have to be elbows to a**holes with your neighbor and still live close enough to the Woodlands to have things to do. Crown Oaks is probably 15 min away from either 105 or 1488.
Crown Oaks, IIRC, is a very nice neighborhood surrounded by a bunch of other nice neighborhoods. Mostly acreage. Not in Conroe though. It is over in Montgomery/Magnolia off of Honea Egypt Rd.
Thanks to everyone who replied. Doesn't sound like it's too bad out there I'm actually in the process of finally moving out of my parents place so I won't be out there but I'm just glad my little sister will be able to go to a decent school in comparison to the one's here in Spring lol.
