i don't know maybe you ought to go out there and check it out for me. If you don't come bad, I'll just assume they got you.
Conroe is the biggest ****hole of a town. I grew up in Spring and my parents moved out to Willis after I graduated high school. Conroe to me is full of lazy uneducated rednecks and crackheads. I have respect for simple minded country folk who work hard for a living. Conroe however seems to be filled with the scum of the earth unemployed trailer trash type that use their 12 children as meal tickets.
I work in Conroe too. There are plenty of nice areas in Conroe that aren't on the lake. Working in Conroe, you should know that.
Well, well, well, it seems we have an interloper here boys... tryin' to... rain on our little parade... either you join in the hate, or get lost, buddy ... *back to the Conroe hate*
Heck it's not like I live there. Just find it funny how some folks don't think their own **** stinks.
Odd that I didn't see a single area listed. Naming one, or any, would help you look above GED educated.
Since you had to go and make fun of my lack of a GED: Off the top of my head, the neighborhood that surrounds Wedgewood Golf, West Fork, Greystone Hills (off of 45 and 3083), River Plantation (off of 45 and 336), Stewarts Forest (off of 45 and 336) and another neighborhood whose name escapes me that is off of Creighton Rd. and 45. Spoiler that's ok....you didn't know that my wife is a real estate broker/agent for one of the largest firms in Montgomery County or that I have been driving around Conroe for a living for the past 15 years (i.e. although I don't have my GED like you do, I do know Conroe like the back of my hand)
Seems like Conroe and its surrounding area's have really nice parts and really crappy one's too. I personally don't mind it. Hell, some parts are even covered in LTE now (Ok, yeah that's a dumb thing to care about for an area) Kind of like Willis. On one end you have Seven Coves, and on the other side it's nothing but trailer trash.
Replied to someone who has him on block, and states that he knows a lot about Conroe. Two very embarrassing negatives, yet he's the one owning someone? My God man, I don't even have the words to describe how much you just failed, but it's hard, very very hard.
Also pretty odd that a direct question was asked, and yet I got a failure of an attempt at an insult as a response. Apparently "driving around" is now an area inside Conroe, and "one of the biggest" is now the name of a real estate company. Never heard of it, I guess it only operates in Conroe.
kyle_r seems pretty loose with adding people to his block list. "You made a geographical wordplay at my expense? You are too dumb to live! Block list for you!" He must have been picked on a lot in high school.
Lived their from age 11 to 25 (for the most part). Plenty of folks there with decent money and almost no one with any class. Everyone with money there is either a real estate broker or developer (have you seen how many mini-strip centers there are on 105 now?) or builders. A real hellish place to live unless you like taking your boat up to Pappas Ice House and banging 40 year old whores who don't even try to hide their herpes.
I knew there was a lot of hate on this bbs for conroe. The rednecks must be pretty bad if it's a prevailing comment. Seems like despite all the hate most are saying that the west side of i45 is okay.. which is my perspective from what I have seen as well. I don't think living on or near the lake would be too shabby. sign me up So where would you recommend to live? What schools middle school and high school are the best in the area? I am talking conroe, willis, lake area. thanks for all the feedback
It live out towards Montgomery near the lake. I like it out here. If you've lived in a big city and you're tired of it, it's a nice change of pace. It takes an hour to get anywhere in Houston so a half hour to The Woodlands is no big deal. Not really any traffic except on the weekends during the summer. Pretty quiet, little crime although 105 can get scary with the drunk drivers. I-45 is really a divider of sorts. You might see some dueling banjos out east of I-45.
I wouldn't live in most of Conroe, although there are some nice parts. Willis is pretty bad, especially the schools. The state took them over for under-performing a couple of years ago. Stay away. Montgomery has the best schools in the area, although I might be a bit biased there. I'd say stay with somewhere like Walden, April Sound, Grand Harbor, Bentwater, etc. I live in Walden and there are some nice amenities, including the tennis center, fitness center, boat launches, pools, 4th of July parade, NYE fireworks, etc. Discounts at the yacht club are nice too. There are a ton of deer, but they're working on that. It's a decent place to live, although there are a few trashy families here and there, but I guess you'll find that almost anywhere.
Can anyone give me some insight on some subdivision called "Crown Oaks" ? I was informed by my mother that they're about to purchase some property there, and after reading this thread, I thought I'd ask for some helpful/hateful opinions
