PREACH, brother. You beat me to it.

Also. Look on YouTube for Jon Stewart interviewing a high ranking official from the Pentagon, asking how is it possible the Pentagon always fails their audits. Hundreds of BILLIONS of dollars not accounted for. "THAT, to me, is corruption." And it is. And neither party says anything.

You give all that money to the U.S. military (I'm a veteran, btw) and half of it can't be accounted for. But our panties are digging up our ass cracks about Food Stamps or whatever.

blaming and targeting those that have the least (power, money, food, resources, etc.) is a republican staple.

So from 2019 to 2020 (1 year) it increased 3.3 million. From 2020 to 2022 (2 years) it increased 3.2. Sounds like Biden is doing a better job than the orange menace.

    This.

11B is around a week's worth of interest-only payments to the Federal Debt. :(

So blaming the food stamp expansion is causing inflation of Republican staples?

The dod offical is Kathleen hicks and she never said that the pentagon can't account for half the money. She's actually a great appointee and she's cleaning up alot of corruption. Half of the pentagon budget directly goes to salary.

She said 2-3% go unaccounted for which is still unacceptable but not 50%

Because it is not a study in any sense of what an actual real study would be. As best I can tell, it is mostly an article that seems quite partisan in nature and one that has some basic mistakes as you identified. The article's first reference being to another article from the same author made me laugh.

So unlawful. Surely, there have been lawsuits then? Or is this one of those BS claims?

Damn those food stamps increased the global prices of gas and higher interests rates around the world. I bet other countries are mad at Biden for causing global inflation.

Even accepting the argument out forward it’s doubtful that the food stamps / WIC program will be done away with as even many Republican members of Congress from rural
    Ag states support it.

I was thinking of the people at FGA who chose to build a whole argument about the wastefulness of SNAP. @TheresTheDagger is one of our only non-Trumpy, non-trolly conservatives who still dares post here. I think he's wrong about food stamps, but I think I inadvertently insulted him -- sorry, dude.

Be very careful about farm subsidies. Maybe it's not the greatest market paradigm we've ever come up with, but tinkering with it has the potential to cause market havoc, trigger bankruptcies, and threaten food supply. Whatever changes we make, we should proceed with a lot of deliberation and give the industry time to adapt.

Trump's increase is because of Covid. And Biden managed to further increase the total despite the drawback from the Covid shock. Not that I'm faulting him for it.
