Go Lin! I'm not a big Lin fan. But tonight shows what he can do for us!

Keep playing like this please Lin.

What does Lin's stats have anything to do with what I'm saying?

I'm saying a triple double, though relatively rare, doesn't impress me.

Even simply focusing on the numbers, and not the game play or percentages, a 38 point game impresses me so much more than a weak triple double.

Fine, I will stop posting just for you. If you care a lot about someone getting a triple double, then that is your opinion and you are free to feel that. You are free to tell someone to change their play during the game such as yelling at Harden to pass to Lin so he can make his 10th assist. The last thing I am going to say is that it would be nice for fans to stop yelling at people and to artificially boost the stats of one player so he can get a meaningless stat and instead to let players worry about playing 100% of the time in a natural way that doesn't compromise the integrity of the players. To play the game as effectively and fluidly as possible without thinking about any individual player. To win games and to concentrate on improving in areas that are important. And doing so 100 PERCENT of your entire basketball career and to become a superior team. Goodbye.

where does this Jeremy Lin come from? He can be so good at times, and so mediocre at others.

At the end of the game, it felt like that Golden State game last year when we needed 1 more 3 to break the record. Great crowd!!!

He's a great player off the bench. If he can finish the 2nd half of the season strong, he'll be in the conversation for 6th man of the year.

17th tripDUB in less than 30 minutes

    9th tripDUB off bench

3rd tripDUB off bench and in less than 30 minutes

Think about it, Lin scored at least a point, had an assist, or had a rebound, for each minute he was on the floor. And that doesn't even include his 2 steals and 1 block.

Lin isn't inconsistent. He just isn't consistently used yet is graded on the same scale that people use to judge regular starters in a fixed system. There are few players in the league that are asked to juggle so many roles as PG, SG, spot up shooter, playmaker at the end of a shot clock. He plays with the ball and off the ball from possession to possession. It's really a non-traditional approach to NBA basketball. To me this triple double underscores that he has elite level talent. As Lin's collection of quality performances adds up, Houston may want to rethink the way it uses him.
