Do you just want attention? Omg I got 3 triggered wokists here to rile up this morning! None of your rhetoric has any nuance. It's just talking points and it's so low effort to where I just think you are just typing to instigate.
LOL that must be a talking point in some left-wing newsletters you and @FranchiseBlade read. Biggest nonsense ever. If you think that, then any antitrust laws would be considered Marxist by you as well, when the reality is that they are designed to protect consumers.
Then it seems you're not disputing the reasons given for why the law should be changed. "That's how democracy works, if you don't like it, change it" is not exactly a defense of the law as written. If people aren't vocal about what's wrong with the law to start with, it won't get changed to address those problems. So a classroom story depicting a gay couple kissing is not indoctrinating woke ideology, but Disney including such a scene in its Buzz Lightyear movie was? What counts as indoctrinating "woke ideology" is highly subjective, and correspondingly so is this bill. It's a terrible law as written.
I think for you "fascism" is just a replacement term for "authoritarianism". Fascism is a subset of authoritarianism so to test whethe you are merely just replacing "authoritarianism" with "fascism", I can ask you what makes something authoritarian but not fascist? The video above breaks down fascism at its most base form: "The ideology of blood and soil where people are bound together by blood and bound to the soil of the nation". DeSantis panders to that notion by playing the culture wars game attacking those with political theater who often clash with traditionalism.
You need to get better at quoting, lol. Perfectly fine for people to disagree with a law and to challenge it in court. I just happen to disagree with those who disagree with the law.

I would like to discuss it beyond just link sharing. I tried to give a very baseline definition of "fascism" ideology and would like your own take of what you define it as.
Definitely. But I think it's applicable here as there is a disagreement on whether DeSantis has fascist tendencies so it's applicable in this thread also.
It says SEXUAL ORIENTATION can not be discussed. If a 3rd grader asks who is in the picture on the desk (be it a man or a woman same sex partner) and the male teacher answers my husband or the female answers my wife, don't you think that can count as sexual orientation? What about a Trans teacher? They have to be wary about talking about gender identity. And the parent of a SENIOR IN HIGH SCHOOL can complain about that and put that teacher in jeopardy. It is so odd that you can't accept that but you're worried about a 3 year old being taught about men shagging.
No, it does not constitute classroom instruction. Just as wary as anyone else. Good. Incorrect. https://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2022/1557/BillText/er/PDF You are just stating falsehoods and arguing against strawmen.
DeSantis won in 2018 by 0.4% - 30,000 votes. We have seen several elections recently where the Democrat votes were extremely underestimated due to abortion concerns. I actually think Crist can win.
I’ve actually not seen that talking point brought up in media. So I’m going to claim original thought on this. Breaking up a monopoly is still leaving the private company private, albeit in smaller pieces. Claiming that private property is the same as public property is calling formthr nationalization of private property which is Marxist in nature. Also just to note that Conservatives frequently accuse most regulation of business as “Socialiam” so following that DeSantis’ push to punish Disney, the Rays and etc.. would fit that.
Except that in what you posted it says... ... Or age appropriate. So yes the parents of a senior in high school could complain. And put the teacher in jeopardy
You keep on claiming these are strawmen yet you’ve yet to show how this law couldn’t or shouldn’t be applied in exactly the way we are warning about. You yourself are showing that this will allow a parent to go legally go after a teacher that they feel is “indoctrinating” or has a “woke” agenda. Those are very nebulous terms. Also what defines “classroom” instruction? Is a teacher sharing about any aspect of their personal life with students classroom instruction. Also to point out again there was already a FL law restricting sex ed.
I think we have established that we have different opinions regarding this law. I understand your concerns from a teacher perspective, but I agree with the direction of the law to strengthen parents' rights and think the benefits outweigh the risks/negatives. Woke activism has gone so far, and this is just a reaction to that.
