Now DeSantis is removing duly elected officials from their positions.

Hopefully Florida will get him out of there in November.

He is just another fake Christian trying to suck up to an ignorant base.

If I were to put money on it I would bet DeSantis wins re-election relatively easily. I don’t think the Democrats have good enough candidates and FL is trending red the past few elections.

The Rubio Val Demmings race is interesting and I though Rubio would win easily. It looks like he’s having a much harder time.

I just don't see the charisma with Desantis to win a 2024 national election against a decent democratic opponent. I just don't see it.

His push further and further right into this kind of stuff is not going to be popular on the national stage and I'm not sure his charisma will make up for it. He's no Trump. Trump is entertaining, no matter what you say about the man even I admit I can enjoy his speeches because you never know what he might say and half of it is amusing. Desantis is just...boring.

I also do not think the war against 'woke' is as relevant as it was in 2016. I think the word is pretty much played out now and by 2024 it'll be silly. In 2016 anyone could grift on being anti-woke but not true anymore because...it's played out. You guys pushed too hard too fast on that tactic and now it's just exhausting.

His style and attitude reminds me of that NJ fatty Christie.

I'm guessing a bridge scandal won't bring him down, but there'll be two more years to dig up condo bodies.

It just depends on how many antisemitic candidates and causes DeSantis campaigns for.

Florida is the government, Twitter is a private company.

When government uses private companies (in this case the de facto public townhall) to silence dissent, it's censorship. Can't use the "it's a private company" argument anymore.
