I can't vote in the US, so it's not "you guys" for me. I very much agree with DeSantis' response to Covid. I cannot speak to everything else. But it seems to me there are really bad politicians in both main parties. Not that it's any better in any country I can think of.
There's a difference between bad politicians and race stirring hate coming from some of the GOP. There is a difference when politicians from one party embrace hate groups. There is a difference when members of one group start a coup to overturn the vote and stay in power. There is a huge difference when it comes to acceptance of all people, regardless of skin color or sexual orientation.
Gov DeSantis is anti-vax, not personally, but politically. Contrast him to someone like Republican Gov Hogan of Maryland who is pro-vax. Same party, opposite ends of covid vax. One guy wants to save lives, the other guy only wants to win elections.

Yeah, not a good look. Looks like his team didn't do enough due diligence on those guys. Maybe just like when the Bidens took money in Eastern Europe?
Good. Keep that **** out of schools. Between your soft-on-child-p*rn/soft-on-pedophiles judge and the rest upset they can’t teach little kids about sex, gender ideology, keep exposing yourself pedos and groomers! From “We just want to be able to get married” to “WHY WON’T YOU LET US TEACH LITTLE KIDS ABOUT SEX?! ARGHGHHHH!” Keep pushing, keep pushing, keep pushing, get that “P” under the LGBTQIABCDEF umbrella. Pedophilia. They want to normalize/legalize pedophilia. And if you don’t accept it/agree, you’re a homophobic, transphobic piece of ****! At-school pride parades, drag queens, transition closets, “what we say in the classroom stays in the classroom”, “keep it a secret from your parents”, on and on, y’all some sick mother****ers. “Come change clothes in my transition closet. We’ll keep it a secret.” “We’ll call you by a different preferred name/preferred pronouns at school. We’ll keep it a secret.” Grooming 101. “It’s our little secret between us. Don’t tell anyone.” "The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are," said Thomas Martin-Edwards, a Spanish teacher at the Oakland Unified School District and founder of the Queer Teacher Fellowship.” “ThErE iS nO p*rn iN sChOol LiBrArIeS fAkE nEwS” Go ahead, move the goal post. “There is no p*rn in school libraries” to “Well, who cares? They’re learning/reading/watching/seeing it somewhere! What’s the big deal?” Spoiler: GRAPHIC In which kids have fallen behind the last 2 years and weren’t at school (COVID), maybe get back to teaching the basics: math, science, social studies, English/language arts and less on grooming/indoctrinating them about gender ideology, sex, LGBTQIABCDEF and whatever other pervert **** you’re teaching. “I know little Billy/Sally you couldn’t decide what to eat for breakfast this morning but you can identify as anything you want and choose any gender you want! There are 2983928389198 genders!” “No one is teaching kids about sex or wants to teach kids sex.” OK, so what’s the problem with the bill? “We just want to teach that some have 2 daddies or 2 mommies!” No surprise the Mickey Mouse Co. is upset.
@J.R. I'm just gonna leave this here even though it has nothing to do with Florida...the party of pedophiles is doing what they do best... GOP bill would eliminate age requirements for marriages in Tennessee NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A proposal making its way through the state legislature would establish a common-law marriage between “one man” and “one woman.” Opponents of the bill (HB 233) say it would eliminate an age requirement, and in some instances, open the door for a coverup of child sex abuse. The bill’s sponsor, Tom Leatherwood (R-Arlington) said the law being considered would add a new marriage option for Tennesseans. JC man accused of raping woman & holding her against her will “So, all this bill does is give an alternative form of marriage for those pastors and other individuals who have a conscientious objection to the current pathway to marriage in our law,” Leatherwood said. But missing from the bill are age requirements, opening the door for possible child marriages — something the bill sponsor acknowledged during a Children and Family Affairs subcommittee. “There is not an explicit age limit,” Leatherwood said. Rep. Mike Stewart (D-Nashville), who sits on the subcommittee the bill passed out of, said he doesn’t understand the motivation. “I don’t think any normal person thinks we shouldn’t have an age requirement for marriage,” he said. He added it could open up the possibility to cover up child sex abuse. Police: JC men arrested in connection to kidnapping, burglary “It should not be there, as it’s basically a get-out-of-jail-free card for people who are basically committing statutory rape — I mean it’s completely ridiculous, so that’s another reason why this terrible bill should be eliminated,” Stewart said. The Sexual Assault Center of Middle Tennessee released the following statement to News 2: “The Sexual Assault Center does not believe the age of consent for marriage should be any younger than it already is. It makes children more vulnerable to coercion and manipulation from predators, sexual and other.” According to UNICEF, approximately 300,000 girls and boys in the U.S. were married before reaching 18 years old between 2000-2018. Under current Tennessee law, one can get married as young as 17 years old with parental consent. The bill will be heard in the House Civil Justice committee Wednesday. https://www.wjhl.com/news/regional/...-age-requirements-for-marriages-in-tennessee/
