I loved Houston growing up but I don't miss the taking a shower and stepping outside of the house to feel the sauna of humidity ruining any sense of clean I once had seconds ago inside the house. Austin at least usually tends to have a more dry heat that's a bit more tolerable for me.

This was a well publicized (only by the opponents, though) feature of the bill before it was passed, certain people just liked to gloss over it or deny it, and things have now gone exactly how everyone predicted. Whole video is excellent if you haven't seen it, but here's the pertinent part:
The GOP War On Books hasn't gone far enough: The Florida Department of Education has approved a list of over 350 books for public schools. The books are supposed to be in-line with the new state laws on education. The books are broken down by approved grade level. DeSantis isn't going to have time to run for Prez - he has to put everything into fighting Disney to win the great Florida culture war.
I would think by now the mania would be over but the gop is dead set on having trump in the race. Before I knew anything about Desantis I thought he might make a good gop candidate, but now I think he is a little tyrant, the fight against Disney is just dumb and his team got played by the mouse. I`ve always heard the gop is AGAINIST big government getting into people`s personal lives or attacking businesses but that's what they seem too always do now. Hell, even trump is making fun of desantis over the mouse fight..............his schtick may work in Fl and the people in Fl seem to love him which is great, but his politics are too far right for mainstream America, I wonder if he will lean towards the middle if and when he runs for President.
