Desantis money wasting governing-without-governing clown antics is starting to cross a bottom line that all Fortune 500 corps pay attention to. Property rights, business favorability/stability, and outright competence/professionalism. He's escalating Trump's Winners and Losers playbook without being a billionaire like Trump. They can call him up the next day and ask him to knock it off or host a dinner party in his name to show off how great he is. Desantis just wants to score points with the angry Fox viewers and thinks these stunts earn him street cred for their upcoming uncivil war rematch that began during Trump's presidency. Cons right now are biting their tongue and waiting for the day they retake the driver's seat. It's like he thinks this is his one and only shot or he just can't handle the pressure of not gaining on Trump's polling numbers.
My read as well. Billionaires did not get to rich by making extremely bad choices. DeSantis does not look like he can win the R primary much less the POTUS. I seriously doubt the billionaire would be backers give two sh*ts about abortion, prisons next to Disney World, book banning, LGBT bashing etc as deal breakers; they just want their tax cuts. Maybe the billionaires would care about prisons next to Disney World ... seeing how that might slow timeshare sales in Orlando.

The entire Florida infrastructure is built on a swamp that through massive construction projects has made it hospitable to live there when weather extremes aren't occurring. However since weather extremes are the new normal I can't imagine ever wanting to live along any coast line right now.
