It sure is hell wouldn't be a politician. You've been riding DeSantis' dick so much in this thread we know who yours is.
Who overpaid and owns Twitter…. Musky. Who acts like a teenage girl when they aren’t getting enough responses… Musky.
He didn't try to back out in July and got his ass sued? The judge told his lawyer to "stop his rhetoric", then Elon decided to complete the deal so Twitter dropped their lawsuit.
Weird coming from a guy who, in two weeks, went from saying the Twitter acquisition was to help Trump's run. Then to help Elon's run. Then DeSantis. And who keeps flipping his positions on every part of the Twitter acquisition to Ukraine to whatever other topic based on whatever Elon tells you to believe in the moment. Gutsy attempt to reframe yourself, I guess. Stupid and oddly self-unaware, but gutsy.
https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...o-believe-or-not.315260/page-77#post-14309399 This is what @Major actually posted: "It's also interesting that the market basically completely ignored Musk's offer knowing it would never happen - normally with a takeover offer, the stock shoots up close to the price of the bid if people think it will happen. Twitter's stock actually *dropped* after Musk's offer, meaning no one with any sense thought it had a shot in hell of succeeding. Not too surprising when Musk admitted he had no financing plan and no actual plan for Twitter after acquiring it. Hopefully for him, he sold his shares yesterday." "No - I think it was over before it ever started because Musk was never serious about acquiring twitter. The market seems to agree based on the valuation of the stock. The poison pill just reinforced it and unfortunately for Musk, limits his ability to drive the price higher before selling. This is what I posted on Page #1 of the thread, and I stand by it: https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...en-doves-cry-wahh.315260/page-9#post-14049161 It may go through some random ups and downs from Elon tweets, but he's not serious about buying Twitter and he's not going to end up owning twitter. I do think he'll make a profit from his market manipulations though." "Worth asking about all the dumbasses that believed Musk's every word ... what kind of credibility do you actually have in anything you post? How easy is it to manipulate you on any topic and what does it mean about your belief system and gullibility in general? All the facts were in front of you and the reality was clear, yet you ignored it to believe what you wanted to. How many other people and ideas have you believed based on similar stupidity? @tinman @Commodore @AroundTheWorld @Space Ghost @MojoMan" He was dead wrong, and all of you guys trying to spin it as if he was right, just because Musk tried to lower the price through a lawsuit - that's revisionist history. Not only was he dead wrong from the beginning, he also acted like a pompous ass on top of it. He fell flat on his face, and you Major fanbois can stop lying about him having been right. Have a nice day.
I’m trying to make sense of this, since I don’t remember all the back and forths. You missed a link: https://bbs.clutchfans.net/posts/14167236/ Someone who clicks that can see the post (which you quoted) was immediately preceded by this: That part seems accurate. Musk made a foolish power move, tanked Twitter’s value with his constant attacks against it, and then attempted to back out of the deal that he initiated — which he couldn’t do.
The posts are all linked to in the link I posted at the top, including the one you posted. Major may have lucked into saying something that was true once in a while, even a broken clock is right twice a day. Doesn't change anything about the fact that he was acting like a pompous ass, thinking he could lecture everyone and pretend he is some big shot financial expert when every single thing he said about the outcome was dead wrong. As to whether Musk actually wanted to back out or if he was trying to negotiate the price down - who cares. Major said he wasn't serious about buying it, and that he would never own it. He was wrong. When he thought he got lucky with his prediction, he came to act like a pompous ass about it. Then he ran away like a little girl and avoided the thread. After a while he came back with some bogus excuse about having been away or whatever, and just went back to making wrong predictions and acting like an ass, without ever acknowledging that he was wrong, and that he was an ******* about it. Oh yeah, he also didn't like being called out on his bullshit, so he pretended to put people on ignore who called him out. Major is an idiot.
This site is built on the backs of posters making bad predictions, lol. Looks like you just have a grudge against him. Not going to say anything further.
Looks like you didn't read that last paragraph I quoted where he pompously called several of us dumbasses with no credibility, even though he was wrong and we were right. That style has been his modus operandi here forever. Suuuuure, I "just have a grudge against him". You make it sound like that "just" comes out of nowhere. Dude deserves any mocking he gets.
Why don't you wanna wager on your buddy DeSantis who you rush to defend at every moment. I'll give you 2:1 odds. You praise him as if he's some ultimate warrior.
He was partially wrong because Musk did end up owning it. He was correct that initially Musk didn't want to own it. Musk did try and back out. So Major was correct on that position.
