Just info from one of your many links. Mastriano is a QAnon conspiracy theorist and a January 6 insurrectionist. He has also shared toxic commentaries about Muslims; abortion; and gun safety; along with making other inflammatory remarks. He has surrounded himself with numerous extremist media figures in his campaign for Pennsylvania governor. They include: antisemitic Gab CEO Andrew Torba; QAnon and antisemitic conspiracy theorists Allen and Francine Fosdick; “prophet” Julie Green, who has promoted an antisemitic conspiracy theory; and QAnon supporter and 9/11 conspiracy theorist Toni Shuppe. Mastriano also recruited Jenna Ellis, who has a history of anti-LGBTQ remarks and election denialism, as a senior adviser. If DeSantis campaigns for a far right hater like this, then he approves of his message. DeSantis is the last person this country needs to run for President. Hate and division are toxic. Anyone who approves of DeSantis approves of his message. Toxic culture.
I hope that won't be Desantis' message or perhaps I hope it is because I just don't see that working out in a presidential election. With all the issues in this country I'm not sure 'Woke' will resonate with moderate voters. I really do not think Moderate voters react well when it seems like your thing is just poking the otherside, it's a big reason Trump was and is such a big turn off and Desantis whole thing has been that he's sticking it to Democrats. Woke is just some internet thing that I don't think people in PA, Wisconsin, Arizona, etc, will care too much about. That plays well in Florida but if you follow the races in those other states kind of hints that wouldn't be a winning strategy there. I think most people just roll their eyes when things are labeled 'Woke' now too, that won't improve 2 years from now, by then it'll just be some old word people used 3 years ago. Are these things going to play well on a national stage? Trans issues, CRT? I'd argue if it hasn't worked for what was supposed to be a red wave nationally than its very likely that many people just are not that concerned. The GOP just has not really won on a national social issue in some time and I don't think the things they have been drumming up the past few years are winners and instead just motivate left leaning people to get out and vote out of fear. But, 2024 is a long ways off, who knows what could be the biggest issue facing the country at that time but if it is 'Wokeness' instead of China, Climate, A new great depression...if the biggest issue is some black trans woman leading the next Marvel movie then the country is probably in a really good state.
In order to combat censorship…. You need more censorship….. A Florida judge blocked Ron DeSantis's Stope WOKE Act for colleges, calling it a 'positively dystopian' violation of free speech https://www.businessinsider.com/jud...law-for-colleges-positively-dystopian-2022-11
Naturally judges are either leftist or honorable…. DeSantis is just pushing Christian nationalism in order to create a base. Watch as Evangelicals jump from Trump to DeSantis. Again… theocrats just want to codify their views.
Nah, there are judges of all kinds of political leanings who suck. In general, I think the politicization of courts is a negative trend.
But only when it goes against what you want? You’ll call a judge a leftist… complain about the system… You don’t mind censorship when it favors your views.
Censorship is bad when it's about stopping posting antivaxx stuff on Twitter but good when it comes to stopping race and gender content.
White Nationalist fascist views are ok with DeSantis' supporters. Right Wing hate groups love the guy.
All this free speech noise is just projection and trying to make religious extremism and conspiracy theories, like election denialism, more accepted:
I mean, you need to understand that while Sex Traffic is bad, wokeism is on our doorstep and everything else needs to be put aside, until we can contain this imaginary foe.
I'm surprised no one posted this hatchet piece/expose on Ron Ron. Seems like his wife plays a heavy hand in humanizing him and making him look less of a reptillian bully. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2022/09/ron-desantis-the-making-and-remaking-of-a-maga-heir
