Looks like this weird practice has been going on for over 20 years, so hardly anything to blame DeSantis for. Should be stopped though.

Whatever you are spewing in Covid threads or the bewildering thread you started where you called Jacinda Ardern evil and dangerous….

That’s straight from the QAnon playbook….

I'm not discussing them with you. Your labeling of everyone who disagrees with you, or disagrees with GOP policies or propaganda as crazy leftists, radical leftists, woke leftists, blah blah blah gets old. You are who you are, and we disagree on too much when it comes to politics. Your admiration and love for DeSantis and the GOP party is far different than mine. I don't believe in extremism, but one thing is true. When it comes to extremism, the far right is much more dangerous, hateful, and deadly.

OK so you are calling me a "far right extremist" and then have nothing to back it up. Noted. Thanks.

It’s classic extremism… anyone you disagree with is “evil and/or dangerous”.

    This better not be real.

If this is the case, it is an incredible invasion of privacy and not remotely right.

I didn't call you a far right extremist in the sense that I believe you are a dangerous person, but you have extremist takes when it comes to some of the things you say in characterizing everyone as a group. You make that comment that the only way DeSantis won't become President is if some far leftist extremist kills him. Really dude. You don't think that's an extreme take? You are all for what DeSantis is doing as a politician. He's taking far-right ideas and making them into policy. It's like he's creating his own blueprint for American Orbanism. We don't need some Authoritative type leader who will base his laws and policies that way. That's just not my version of a better America. I don't want to go backwards in time, where some guy gets to decide how everyone else should live their lives.

The most severe restrictions of civil liberties in decades, such as forcing everyone to wear masks, forcing people to have a medical intervention or lose their jobs, severely restricting free speech, closing schools and kindergartens and locking people into their homes, not allowing people to see their dying loved ones, etc. - were pushed much more from the left than from the right. In fact, DeSantis was one of the few who stood up to these authoritarian measures (which, by the way, did a lot more damage to the working class and to children of poor people than to the Zoom and laptop class).

He allowed people to go back to living their normal lives.

People who fight for fringe groups but are happy to lock you up at home aren't your friends.

There ya go again. Gotta call anything you don't agree with fringe groups. Grow up. There is a huge difference between requiring masks and lockdowns at a time hundreds of thousands of people were dying than getting all in a hissy fit over pronouns, someone teaching the ugly truth about our history of racism, oppression, and slavery, or a rainbow flag on a teacher's door. Huge difference. DeSantis enforces authoritarian measures that his far right groups push for. He cared more about money and business than saving lives. A lot of his supporters are dead now thanks to him. Not only that, but assault rifles will never be banned in this country with DeSantis or any other GOP candidate. They love that NRA money too much. That, and they know their crazy assault rifle carrying murderers and thugs won't vote for them.

I agree with you on the guns. But, 'murica, you know. That's not specific to DeSantis, or even Republicans.

That's BS. Democrats by majority want assault rifles banned. Republicans will NEVER support that as a party. They send thoughts and prayers, and carry on as usual. Don't know what your 'murica remark means actually.
