    Austin is doing a mask mandate too....screw the GOP and their KID KILLING ways.

    First they don't want gun rules, now they don't want mask rules.......things that HELP society........it is disgraceful.

    It literally is a battle between people who are SELFISH and only worried about themselves - the GOP and people who are worried about the greater good and society as a whole - The Libs

    Not as abjectly evil as preventing mask mandates, but yet another example of what a piece of **** Abbot is. This newsletter is a paid subscription, so I'm pasting below. Highly recommend you all subscribe if you have the cash flow - I was acquainted with Judd back in 2000 when I lived in DC and he's a truly passionate guy who cares about accountability.

    Curious, if you could describe a "decent" candidate here in Texas, who would that be? A congressman? Mayor? Well-known businessman or entertainer?

    My take... its Texas. And in Texas, in a state-wide election, the republican candidate will almost always win. No matter how bad, no matter how dumb, and no matter how corrupt. Because here in Texas, it only matters that they are a republican. Sure, there are small pockets (Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas). So its possible for a Democrat to become a mayor. Or a congressman.

    So... you can have an Eric Johnson, or Adler, or Nirenberg, or Turner. But they won't have state-wide recognition or appeal. Maybe Lina Hidalgo might run and appeal to hispanics and women...

    But I think his reasonable stance on guns, and outlawing assault style weapons might get him.
