This reminds me of at the Willie Nelson show I was at this past weekend I saw a truck flying a Trump flag and a “F^(% BIDEN” flag in the parking lot. I commented to to my friend if that person knew that Willie Nelson is a big liberal who campaigned for Beto ORourke.
And Garth's quote had been widely misinterpreted. The MAGA crowd should explain what's wrong with it. "I want it to be a place you feel safe in," he said. "I want it to be a place where you feel like there are manners and people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer. We just are. It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this: if you [are let] into this house, love one another." "If you’re an *******," he added, "there are plenty of other places on lower Broadway."
This reminds me of Rick Perry talking about Texas Seccession and then the next week asking for more federal money.
I don't want to hear any bullshit from Republicans about California or New York or Chicago politics. The quality of elected officials in Texas are the WORST, amazingly even worse than California.
Here's a sentence I thought I'd never type or utter...I long for the Rick Perry days. I miss normal ****ing politics that was boring and mostly dealt with real issues when the politicians had to bring actual solutions for the average person. Thanks Citizens United and the SCOTUS for starting this nonsense.
This has to be one of the most ridiculous tweets he's made. He brags about all our wealth, but does nothing to address any issues Texans face without Federal funding. The responses to that tweet were great. I like seeing people call Greg out for the terrible leader and liar he is. I'm gonna post 4 responses. I won't post them all. Far too many.
We know we can't count on Greg to do anything without Federal funding when disasters strike. All he and Ted do is take photo ops and send thoughts and prayers.
Why does it seem that every prominent Republican leader is a complete waste of space? The non stop lying and pandering to their idiotic base is so pathetic.
...because they ran all of the other Republican leaders out of the party to make room for idiots and kooks and degenerates and liars. One of the fun things that people like to say today, is that two different things can both be true at the same time. (...A quaint little exposition, incidentally, on a theme in another thread on human consciousness...) That's cute. For children. The world's a big place, and they've got to learn there's a lot of stuff in it. Which is one reason why I'm hardly ever surprised whenever I hear that statement as some sort of mic drop moment or something. Think childish. Act childish. It's elementary, really. But hardly as smart as. What's happening with the Republican party (to my admittedly biased, reverse-racist eyes) is the grownup postscript to that earlier statement. Two things can, indeed, be true at the same time. But only one thing at a time ever matters. Sucks sometimes to have to wake up out of fantasyland and deal with cause and effect and gravity and up and down and night and day... ...I thought Rod Serling made that point over and over again a lotta years ago, myself...
Yeah it does. I'm so sick of how Greg Abbott runs this state. He's a soulless human being, and him touring that "Christian" man crap gets old. Must be some MAGA or MEGA church mentality. Give to me, but not to thee.
...sounds positively Christian, to me, sister. I HAVE SEEEEEN THE LIGHT! HALLELUJAH! ...(uh...how much did you say a donation was?)...
