"science conscious" just means "liberal communizm" to a lot of his core voters now. you just have to shrug.
This is where Biden needs to step in. Why can't he stop something like this? The President should be able to stop a damn Governor from dictating employers can't take any step necessary to protect their employees and customers as best they can from a damn deadly virus. Abbott isn't paying their health insurance and medical bills.
I don't know about the President, but I do believe that the corporations themselves can take this to court... Doing this is also stating that the Gov is taking the Constitutional rights away from the companies. I mean in this case the Gov could say "No Shirt, No Shoes.. You get service" This is a very thin line and game that Abbott is playing and it could come back to hurt him and the Republicans. T_Man
Just another sign of how the current GOP has no principles. Rail about "Socialism" and how it's ruining the country but then act like Socialists when it suits their short term political gain.
https://qz.com/2072764/can-texas-governor-ban-vaccine-mandates/ “Even if the Texas ban were upheld, it would still be pre-empted by the OSHA rule,” Gostin said, referring to the forthcoming vaccine regulation targeting private employers. The US Constitution’s supremacy clause states that the federal government’s actions supersede state law, Gostin adds: “In this case you have a direct conflict, and it’s very clear to me that the courts would not allow a state ban to interfere with a federal law and policy.”
Weak men. With no backbone or will of their own. Driven only by a need for attention or a desire to hold onto what they have... and nothing more. Well, also money. LUlzt.
It's no wonder why 1 in 6 Americans who died of Covid today were Texans with Abbott in charge. That worthless POS and all his GOP compadres leading this state need kicked to the curb.
