I wear both hats (obviously not a public official but...) Do whatever to get people vaccinated - money, easier access... Know the issue so you can fine-tune your strategy to get more vaccinated effectively. Today, the Berry Center in NW Hou hosted a vaccination event for our school district, for teachers, students and families from 8am-5pm. No appointment needed. It ran out of vaccines by 10am. Restrict access to those not vaccinated by choice (for whatever reasons other than medical) or not previously infected.
...so let me see if I got this straight... ...you don't trust these fancy elitist liberal doctors on the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines for millions of people because of a few scattered cases of transmission and contraction... ...but you call those same doctors to ask about poisoning yourself with a horse dewormer that's sickened virtually anybody that's taken it, in an attempt to prove how wrong all of those doctors were in the first place? ...why the hell did I even bother with getting a high school diploma, if this is what's passing for high-level thinking?

I have wonderful family members who still hesitate on the vaccine based on disinfo whispered to and around them. No one wants anyone to get sick from this. Let alone die.
That's so ****ing tragic. Meanwhile, we still have people here who seem to believe that the vaccines are a plot of some sort, an attempt to impose upon their "freedom." Hey, death is a form of freedom. Personally, I prefer to put that particular "freedom" off as long as possible. Some of you need to get a grip, wake up, save your stupid life and the lives of those you care about. Get your idiotic self vaccinated.

My wife's brother and sister-in-law haven't gotten the vaccination. They originally believe it was a hoax virus. Then they got COVID-19. Then they thought since they got the virus they were protected "better" than if they got vaccines. They have been traveling all over in their RV including here for 3-4 weeks earlier this year. They will be coming back here later in September to help celebrate my wife's mom 90th birthday (staying a few more weeks). My wife was talking to them on the phone and mentioned that people were getting the Delta variant even after getting the vaccine. The two of them laughed.
****ed up story. My wife's cousin has an immunocompromised baby and wanted to have a birthday party for her, because they don't know how long she will even live. Was extremely careful and asked only vaccinated people to come. Even checked cards on friends that came, but did not for family. Two weeks later gets a call from the hospital that two of their cousins are on ventalator's. Apparently they just lied and came anyway. Complete disregard for other people. Typical MAGA losers. Probably will end up dead and put a baby at risk for no damn reason.
The sad part of all of this is that only 98% of people who catch delta end up in the hospital. Those who aren't vaccinated and receive no complications feel foolhardy to double down and brag that they won the dipshit lottery. Cuz only fraidy sheeps listen to their doctors when they dun needem!
As usual the sins of the parents are hurting their children. I want to have more compassion but this is truly Darwinism at work. Idiots dying by ignoring science and the experts unfortunately benefits all of society.
