AJ is a helluva posession reciever. He can catch the ball on short, medium and long routes. But yeah...he is more Heywood Jeffries than Ernest Givens to use an Oiler analogy. He doesn't break little gains into big ones very often. Course part of that is Carr getting the ball to him when the defenders are right on top of him. Which is part Carr's fault and part the OL's fault. It's damn hard for a skill position player to look good when the O Line is pathetic.
Yea I cant blame him. The guy has top notch talent and to be on a P.O.S. franchise for 4 seasons is a waste of time. Just think if Tom Brady had a big time wideout like that. His best wideout is Troy Bown and that guy is like 50 yrs old.
I'd like to see what Andre can do with a line that gives the QB time and a QB that can make plays. That said, I have noticed that Andre has not been open downfield lately. The FEW times Carr has thrown downfield lately, Andre was not beating his man.
Sorry, didn't mean to throw the derail out there. I could see Johnson splitting if he has the option. Why stay on a rebuilding team, or one stuck in the mud? If the texans go all out and give him too much money to stay then that will be robbing peter to pay paul. Unfortunately this is the situation they are going to find themselves in until they can breathe some life into this team.
Nice, lets talk more about this: - The texans are represented here too. - The browns not, and they dont have a single player in the pro bowl - Why the have 13 cheerleaders in the AFC and only 12 in the NFC - Who votes to decide which one goes to hawaii?
