    Yes i'm a Rookie :D

I think Yao is very good but I like Amare too. I even think he is better than Yao. Why? He is athletic he is so quick, he dunks every pozitions over the rim, he jumps so high, he is a good blocker and rebounder. I would like to see him in Houston.

I have no problem to have Amare on our team in stead of Yao, the problem is, you have to get Nash at the same time.

There must be something I missed. Here are the rules to vote:

"The 129-member voting panel of writers and broadcasters throughout the United States and Canada consisted of national media members and members from each of the league’s 30 teams who regularly cover the NBA. The media voted for All-NBA First, Second and Third Teams by position with points awarded on a 5-3-1 basis."

So Kobe and Nash won 128 and 129 first team votes respectively, which means only one voter has chosen Nash but not Kobe, how come Tracy got 10 first team votes?

Yao and Amare combined only 74 first team votes at the center position, Howard got 1, Shaq got 3, Camby (if he is a center) got 2, where are the other 49 first team votes?

Does By Position mean GUARD, FORWARD, CENTER
    or
does it mean PT GUARD, SHOOTING GUARD, SMALL FORWARD, POWER FORWARD, CENTER?

maybe some put kobe or tracy in the foward position. Also maybe people just didn't vote for a center.

    2 Guards, 2 Forwards, 1 Center

No specification that there has to be a pt and a shooting guard, etc

Amare doesn't play defense, and is ineffective when he isn't receiving the ball moving towards the basket (pick and roll situation). But hype is everything, and the Suns are the epitome of the new NBA (even though they probably won't even make the WCF).

The voting must be regardless of position.

One more thing, the suns could put the Marion at the 5 and it wouldn't make a difference. It's all about Nash giving them open looks, they all look horrible when Nash misses games due to injuries blaaahhh

Congratulations to Yao Ming for what??? having been passed over as the best Center in the NBA by a Power Forward, playing out of position, whos gamestyle of play isn't that of a Center. if I was Yao I would be just livid not honored.!! If Yao has 38 1st team votes and Amare has 36 1st team votes how is it that Yao was not the 1st team choice?

on offense, take away Nash's PnR with Amare, and Amare becomes useless.

on defense, Amare is not even close to Yao in terms of defending the paint.

A quick maths. 129 broadcasters, 5-3-1 for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Yao got 38 votes for 1st team, while Amare got 36. Somehow, Amare got 494 points, 161 more than Yao's 333. What does that mean? Roughly, 1/3 of the panel didn't vote Yao for EITHER 1st OR 2nd team. I guess some 40 out of the 129 didn't bother watching basketball until after the all star break. What a joke! Well, one of them also cast a 3rd place COY vote for Isiah Thomas. So it's probably crazy to expect a fair vote from those guys.

the good thing is, i really don't think this was even close to tmac's best season. the reason he got this was b/c he really showed he can make others better and the media loves that.

i expect big things from him next yr, esp. his scoring. it has to go back up to 27-28ppg and he can do that by shooting better and make his fts.

yao would have been first team if he was healthy. there is nobody that good at the center position, and amare is not a center. amare got first team by default.

yao can get much better too.

our stars can get much better. now let's hope management can get much better players around them
