If you ran the paper you would of never ran the "choke city" or the tombstone and the Rockets may have never become "Clutch City" and the Stros might of not made it to the world series.

Pro Sports are not just fun and games Ed Young.

Not for the players. For us fans, that's all they're for.

    Ed Young?

I'm with you. The only time I remember booing at a sporting event was game 4 of the 1998 first round playoff series against the Jazz. Then at my tv after game 5.

You should ask Major about my resopnses to people booing Chris Simms/John Mackovic at UT. :)

i've booed players from other teams...simply because they're playing for other teams.

i've never booed my hometown players. NOT EVEN DAVID CARR!!! :D

i didn't boo him while he wore a Rockets jersey. suffice it to say, i wasn't happy with him, though.

we're talking about booing AT A GAME, right??

i scream at even my very favorite players when they make a mistake and i'm watching on TV.

He never deserved to be booed while he was actually on the court. Our offense was about as stagnant as it could get (by design), and Scottie was told to primarily be a spot-up shooter.

He still played his ass off on defense, and started finding other ways to contribute (namely his rebounding... which was huge during the Lakers series that playoffs).

Kobe destroyed Pippen in the playoffs and Scottie started blaming Cuttino and Chuck.

    You were taught wrong, then.

Let's say you go to watch your kids' soccer game, but he and his teammates aren't performing up to your expectations. What should you do to rectify that situation? You should boo the heck out of him and his teammates until they get it right. It builds character, and one day he will thank you for it -- if he isn't too traumatized by his childhood experience, that is, which would be tragic since you would definitely end up in a nursing home.

But enough of that...wh...what was your point again?

I don't see anything wrong with booing a team or a player.

The only reason I boo is when say, Lidge consistently chokes and gives up home runs or when the Rockets consistently give up 4th quarter leads.

seriously, how do you NOT justify booing brad lidge.

you pay money to see someone close out a game and you get ****ed for the ticket price each time.

    bush league? hardly.

Agreed.. I've never booed my teams' players. I've certainly booed players from other teams. Karl Malone. Scottie Pippen when he was on Portland. etc.

(however, I don't think it's wrong. I can't justify doing it...but I certainly think Lidge deserved what he got based on his play)
