I have been a Astro fan since the 80's and watched the 1 game playoff against the Dodgers so miss me with that. The Dodgers are not our biggest rival it's the Cardinals and now I guess the Rangers or A's, that shows you are probably a bandwagoner. Why the hell would you feel sorry for me because I respect Kershaw? I need a hobby?
Its obvious if you read my posts. So you have to **** on the Dodgers to support the Astros? This is what's wrong in 20/20.
Lol at me being a bandwagoner. I've been going to games since I was 17 years old. Cardinals don't matter now because Selig moved us to the American league. A's don't matter Why whould you be openly happy for a team that **** all over us? It makes no sense
Because they have been extremely vocal criticizing us and obviously we beat them in the World Series. This isn't difficult logic. Edit; you responded before my edit so I obviously will give you a chance to respond to my entire post
I don't know what you consider a rivalry to be to be but if its people that have been vocal criticizing us it should be the MLB. So why is it not the Nationals they beat us and criticized us? Yeah it is supremely difficult logic. Rivalries takes years of hard fought competition.
No matter how hard Astros fans try, Dodgers feel like their 2017 loss wasn't a loss, and they now have a 2020 World Series to completely forget 2017 ever happened. The Dodgers have the last laugh unless the Astros win another WS. That's all there is to it.
No matter what Dodgers fans "feel," they'll never erase the Astros winning the World Series in Dodgers Stadium. It happened. We'll always celebrate it.
Also **** Rob Lowe, #1 Los Asterisks Fraudgers fan. I saw you wearing that Astros asterisk hat. All your movies are overrated. (Except Wayne's World.)
Nope So why not the yankees, they were the instigators of most of the online stuff and we actually play them yearly and with high stakes. Seems like a lot of you just got the Dodgers in your heads and are hating as much as they are.
Oh I'd say for sure the Yankees are up there. I'd lean Dodgers #1, Yankees a close #2. But that's just my opinion as a humble farmer from Mississippi.
You make a compelling argument for the Yankees as a top rival for us Astros fans. I agree with you there. But your arguments against a Dodgers rivalry aren't enough to convince me, or quite a few others here, I'd imagine. It's that 80s hate that some of us still hold fondly, combined with the sanctimonious hypocrisy of this current lot and the entitled smugness and name-calling from their fan base. Screw the Dodgers, and the Hollywood stick horse they rode in on.
I understand that and I am not telling anyone who they should hate but I don't like people questioning my fandom because I am happy a guy got a ring. Even when we were in the NL once they went to 3 divisions the Dodgers were not really rivals, it was far more Cubs and Cardinals. It's actually kind of strange to me, especially since we beat them.
