The bolded parts show that you already know what the right answer is. Wife and kid. Wife who works at the same office. Potential jail time and criminal record. Probably fired from you job. For what, some dumbass Kiwi? I work in company in Austin that was owned by a NZ company until last year. I had to deal with these people all the time. I've met very few who were sarcastic s*** heads. Brush it off and move on. You're an adult who has things to lose.
You just said getting into another fight will get you punished to the fullest extent of the law. I don't think they care about who started it. Let it go. As for the OP: **** that manager. You have absolutely nothing to worry about on this one. All of the evidence is on your side, like the super decrease in hours after the second incident. Does he know where you live or something? Can he kick your ass? If the answer is no, then you shouldn't be worried.
Dude, New Zealand. As if. America is the the Yankees of countries. It's understandable that he feels belittled. But it sounds like you have way to much to lose and are too close to losing it to get physical. But you can make all the New Zealand is a pimple on the worlds ass jokes you want.
wow if my boss shoved me...that would be not cool. you did a right thing, no worries. there are plenty jobs in retail.
no, it`s not that he doesn`t like americans. i could care less. it`s that i was the only american in the room, a room full of canadians and aussies. he was obviously directing that comment to me. but hey, all is well. point taken.
point taken. aussies and kiwis. something really bugs the ***** out of me about those guys. canadians too.
it`s hard to make fun of a kiwi. there`s not much to go off of, i mean, it`s new zealand. i`ll try the shire comment, not sure if it`ll fly but worth a shot. kudos DD.
Don't wait, just go and get the hours you need. The manager might be reprimanded for shoving you, but might not be fired and the whole thing will take forever. In the meantime, you need to keep putting up with that guy. They are not going to punish him for cutting your hours or compensate you for it in any way. Maybe the guy gets in less trouble because you're gone, but it won't be a lot of trouble anyway, and it won't benefit you whether he gets into a little trouble or a lot of trouble anyway.
you sound like a woman in an abusive relationship, but blames herself for getting punched in the face.
