So far so good, he can rest, we will be fine without him. Limping on the court isn't pleaseable thing to watch. Good thing to see Shane Battier to come back. Wonder who will start instead of T-Mac? Wafer? Head or Battier?
So, when Yao goes down because of the extra burden he has to carry because Tmac is resting, that is ok with you? DD
Head is pretty much out of the rotation as of right now. I'm not sure if they will be able to trade him this year.
Dada, so far he's only off one game. Yao's foot will not fall off trying to beat the Pacers without him. Besides, Yao just took one game off last week. I know we're all upset, but with our stars, you gotta face reality.
I agree, if it is just one game then fine, but when Tmac says "Shut it down" that sounds like a while to me. And to me Yao is the most important player on this team...he is the biggest mismatch. DD
I've already stated that 610 had reported it. Other folks did as well. Wait till after shoot around which is probably going take place after 11 today. So by 1 or so we should know for sure. He might play or he might now but that's what was said yesterday.
Well when the same person keeps posting the same question like 5 times and didn't get the point, I think so. All day yesterday he kept asking or she kept asking the same question.
you are correct, that was unnecessary. Would it hurt you too much to be a bit more civil Cheezyboy? Normally around here, radio isn't a good enough source. If there was anything to this "news", it would be in print/online. I doubt the veracity, so why shouldnt others?
Agreed, "shut it down," worries me too. Does that mean 1 game, 1 week, 2 weeks, or more? Hard to know with him. Still, originally the Rockets said it would take 8-10 games for him to be back to normal, well that didn't work. Then they've limited his minutes the last 3 games, and that hasn't seemed to help much either. Perplexing and frustrating.
My opinion is: The knee is not gonna get stronger with Tracy staying on the outside and waiting for an open 3sandpassing the ball to Yao. Tracy needs to play like he was 100%, I mean he has to go through that. Drive to the basket, post up, make your moves. Just push yourself through it - that is gonna make the knee STRONGER.
Looks like Shane could be starting. I didn't think they would put him in the starting line up soo soon. Well with T-Mac out, I guess it would make sense in a way.
One reason we supposedly got Artest was for games like this when TMac or Yao was out. We're 0-1 so far. Let's see how we do tonight.
"My knee is a lot [more sore] than normal. So we're just being cautious about it. It's one game that I'm sitting out and I look forward to coming back and playing the next game." Looks like he understands he needs to play through that and the knee will feel better.
T-Mac will sit out tonight Sore left knee will keep star out of action vs. Pacers The Rockets' plan to let Tracy McGrady play through the soreness in his left knee was put on hold Wednesday. Unhappy with his level of play and believing his left knee is too sore to play well, McGrady said Wednesday he will sit out tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers. "I’m out tonight," McGrady said. "The knee is a little sore so tonight I’m taking it off. "It’s not being able to go out and play at a high level tonight because my knee is a lot sorer than normal. It’s being cautious. It’s one game I’m sitting out and looking forward to coming back and playing the next game. "It’s all about being able to go out there and contribute and help my team win ballgames. I don’t think I can be effective going out there tonight the way I feel so I’m going to take the route of not playing. I believe in my team that they can go out and win." Though he said he thinks he will play Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs, McGrady said he will have to determine his availability before each game. "At this point, yeah," McGrady said when asked if it will be a daily decision. "There is a little discomfort in my knee. It’s one of these days it’s really sore and I’m taking the night off. It’s still early. I’d rather be healthy later on in the season when we’re making a playoff push. "Right now, it’s not trying to be Superman and try to save the team. I just have to be smart about it for me personally and my future and also what’s best for this team. "The good thing about it is I can’t hurt anything. I can’t damage it. That’s a nice thing. I can’t make it worse." Rockets forward Shane Battier is expected to make his season debut tonight.
What does he mean when he says he can't hurt his knee anymore? Is his knee so damaged that it's impossible to get worse? Is his knee perfectly fine in structure but it's just pain that keeps him from playing? I don't understand.
