he scored mostly on jumpshots. he still doesn't look right b/c he hasn't attacked the rim or played much in the post.

i think the rest is mostly for his confidence with that knee. right now on the court, he doesn't want to try things that can aggravate the problem. hopefully with rest, he works on the knee and comes to peace with it.

    he's been moving better though.

the OP said his knee is sore. but like i said, resting will be more for his confidence personally.

tracy is really emotional when it comes to injuries b/c well, he's been very injury-proned the past 3-4 years. it's understandable. if he thinks the time off will give him the confidence, then let him go at it.

if we are to reach our potential, we can't have the tracy that just plays within himself and take open jump shots like a role player. we need to him be a playmaker, creator, and wreak havoc.

Easy, easy. Not all of us are on the same boat and to lump everyone in such a statement is ridiculous. So what, 3 or 4 posters disagree with you and you jump to this conclusion?

C'mon BrooksBall, you're an excellent poster on here. Don't let a few people influence you to think everyone has the exact same position.

At the same time, I'll freely admit that I didn't know the Pacers measured up much better than they have in terms of W-L records right now. Hell, I didn't even know they had daniels, ford, and dunleavy, lol. In the end it doesn't matter if we underestimate them, the coaches should be doing exactly what they're paid to do for the Rockets - GAME PLAN.

Without t-mac, this game will be tougher. Yet, if we move the ball around like we did with Yao last game I like our chances. Hell, having a warm body in place of T-Mac should be an OK substitution for a while.

Yeah BrooksBall relax yo. Don't be lumping all the posters on this board with the few. What you are saying is true, the Pacers are bad, but not terrible. They are young, athletic, and tall. Those are the things that bug this team the most. It will be a tough game. If I recall correctly, we lost/got spanked by them last season.

The Pacers' biggest offensive threat Granger will be effectively contained by Artest and Battier. I do see TJ Ford burning Alston off the dribble though, perhaps Brooks should get more playing time than usual.

Couldn't hurt actually. They're about the same height/weight so Brooks wouldn't be at a disadvantage like he was in (I'm drawing a blank on the game, lol) X game. Plus he's faster than Ford so he should definitely be able to neutralize him or just about even him out. He'll be able to take it to Alston a few times probably.

Yeah, BB, chill a little. Anyway, Granger has been excellent so far this year, but he's gonna have a helluva time with Artest and Battier. They can be tough, but their front line is VERY weak, and Rockets should be able to exploit that all night.

Shady, Rockets beat 'em both times last year. Close game in Indy, and then we spanked their asses at the TC.

I overreacted with the "everybody is a cheerleader" comment. It's just increasingly disappointing to realize that this forum isn't what I thought it would be when I joined. I figured that people with non-web-based e-mail addresses would be generally more mature than those at the average sports forum. I am learning that my expectations were too high. I'll just adapt to the majority and try to become more of a cheerleader. I like the site enough that it's worth it, even if I can't really have the kind of dialogue I was initally looking for.

C'mon it's not that bad is it? I don't like doing it, but I find a healthy use of the ignore button makes the board ALOT easier to read. I think you have to realize that a very large percentage of fans on this site simply aren't old enough to to have mature discussion.

    Understood.

I'm just one of 30,000 so I'll try to go with the flow. I don't have the energy of a tinman to fight endlessly for change around here. It doesn't accomplish much anyways.

If you can't beat em, join em or get the f*** out, right?

    On that note, I'll...

    and act more like a...

so I can fit in better at ClutchCheerleaders.net.

We don't need his 6 points. Just pound it to Yao.

Yes, because your maturity level depends on where you register your e-mail address. I find it absolutely hilarious that you thought people with non-web based email would be more mature. Please tell me the correlation between the two.

I don't want to argue. Call me an idiot for thinking that but my thought process was that most people that have a non-web-based e-mail address would generally be professionals which would lead to a generally more mature audience. I don't think that was such a ridiculous assumption and I actually see signs of that to an extent in the various forums on this site.

I'm not an expert on technology, so feel free to point out my lack of knowledge and faulty thought process. I'd like to learn why I was wrong.

It doesn't matter who we are playing against, every game we can rest T-Mac is a good one, because the T-Mac that is out there is so inconsistent that he won't be able to take us very far in the playoffs playing like that.

I want the old T-Mac back and am willing to sacrifice a bit of our level of play in the regular season to get it. The Jazz played without Boozer and Deron Williams last night and lost to a buzzer beater against Chicago. The good teams know that games now are less important than games later.
