Because David Duke still pursues racist policies, while Roberty Byrd does quite the opposite.

Screw VP. I think she would make an excellent Presidential candidate in 08. She would trounce Hillary. Condaleeza is both smarter and more trustworthy than Hillary.

I know you guys live in a world where saying it makes it so, but at least a few of Condi's lies -- lies about national security no less -- have been documented in this thread. I'm not a Hillary fan, but I defy you to find anything she's said that even brushes up against Condi's chronic dishonesty on matters of the highest importance. Or maybe you're going with the texxx defense that there's no connection between "determined to strike" and "threat" and you'd be a fool and a communist to make one.

Given the many lies and the evidence of dishonesty from Condi Rice here, to which I will add she lied about the U.S. having trippled aid to Africa, how has she shown herself to be more honest than Hillar?

I don't even like Hillary and doubt I would vote for her, but I won't overlook evidence. I have seen plenty of evidence showing that Condi is a liar. I haven't seen you present any evidence to show Hillary to be a liar.

You see debate works like this. One side presents evidence. The other side presents evidence, or refutes evidence already presented.

So far you haven't presented or refuted anything. You made a claim with zero evidence.

I'm always surprised by the Hillary-Hate.

Even BJ and FB dishing her?

(not trying to derail...I just find it interesting such an accomplished individual can conjur so much hate/distrust when so many other politicians are given passes on what I would consider more damning faults).

The right wing hate is obvious. It has been there since Bill was running.

As for Dems, I think that Hill doesn't get a free pass in the primaries. I am personally very pissed at a bunch of dems that haven't spoken out about the war, the wiretapping, the proposed budget cuts, etc etc etc.

Russ Feingold gets my vote were the election today.

Hillary is accomplished. But she is an equivocator. She has taken a weak stance on the war, she has abandoned ideals to try and appeal to the middle. She tries to sound like she is pro-family by joining in on the bashing of computer games. She chose NY to become a Senator rather than Chicago or Arkansas, and was in effect a carpet bagger.

When she was crusading for health care reform, I absolutely admired her. She is accomplished and very smart. However, she seems more dedicated to ambition than to ideals.

Bush v. Kerry has shown that taking a strong stand trumps taking a weak one. I don't think the stand is as important to voters as actually taking one.

I used to liker her, but move after move she made, has enabled her to lose my respect.

I am much more likely to entrust the safety and security of my family and my country to Condi Rice than to a moron like Hillary Clinton. That is fact.

It is not my job to try to sway your opinions or to inform you. Most of you in D&D are too far gone to the left to heed any common sense anyways.

Who would you rather have in charge of handling dangerous security issues and threats? An expert like Rice or a clueless political w**** like Hillary? Have you even read some of her senate statements? It's very scary actually.

Yes, Condoleeza Rice's record as the National Security Adviser while she presided over the most serious breach of American security in history, and who outlined her plans for national security policy in 2000 and didn't mention terrorism as a major focus (and in fact only listed the word a few times in passing), and who was busy in September of 2001 lobbying congress for cold war era missile shields, at least, too busy to bother doing briefings on counterterrorism that the NSC staff tried to give her, well - this record simply speaks for itself.

Of course this is all ridiculous. She will never seek, nor get the nomination.

I am honestly blown away that this is the way you guys argue.

You called Hillary dishonest. As your side is so fond of saying here before being proven wrong and running away..... Link? Thanks in advance.

You won't provide a link though because one doesn't exist. What you'll do instead is call her a moron and a w****. No, it's not your "job" to persuade us of anything. But you might want to back up your baseless assertions or stop making them -- just, you know, so you won't look so stupid.

If Condi Rice is an "expert" on National Security, the United States of America is doomed.

    Ding. ding. ding.

But if she did get elected, we would see 4/8 years of special investigators crawling through her distant past looking for political attack fodder. That would make the whole trip worth it.

Again you seem to be missing the point. The idea is to debate or discuss by supporting your ideas with evidence.

You have provided none. You can name call all you want, but as Sam Fisher has pointed out, Rice's tenure shows little reasoning for your confidence.

My question is have you actually read some of Hillary's statements from the senate, or were you just told about them? If you did read them, why don't you post a link to them.

The evidence I have is her experience. She (Condi Rice)is an inspiration to all women, of all color. She is in the class with heralded leaders of yore we celebrate.

She has presided over a troubled time and has done so admirably. Hillary has no international experience. She sways to ideological process in her changing stances. With Condi, it is refreshing to not see this. She stays a deliberate course that is full of sense and righteousness...
