Weirdly enough I think this is the most debatable post here.

I think foreign policy has failed on both sides for a while now.
I hate almost all of Ron Paul's policies, but one thing I agree with is that limited foreign policy is preferable to bullying and warmongering.

We shouldn't be the world's police state, at least not the figurehead of it anyway. Foreign aid is good, interjecting ourselves in foreign affairs that only have our interests in tow is bad.

A rare non-radical post from RedRedemption. Well said. It is expensive, publicly funded by citizens of aggressor and "aggressee", rewards go to a few people, damage to relationships is virtually irrepairable (revenge will unfortunately eventually show up), historically proven to lead to home-state economic failure, impossible to supervise/control by citizens of aggressor, easy to control by the "1%", and most importantly it's blatantly immoral. It plays a huge role in creating foreign right-wing war mongers, just like the USSR played a huge role in molding the identity of today's Republicans and their insecurity towards anything vaguely related to Russia.

Unfortunately, Condi is wrong. American foreign policy is not involuntarily on Mute, rather it is voluntarily on silent at the moment.

Ah, yes. The typical American "We should only intervene in foreign policy if it will help THEM" ideal. If there's any reason to despise Wilson, it's how he injected that mindframe into the American people.
