"So to all the people watching, I can never ever thank you enough for the kindness to me, I'll think about it for the rest of my life. All I ask is one thing, and I'm asking this particularly of young people that watch. Please do not be cynical. I hate cynicism. For the record, it's my least favorite quality. It doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard, and you're kind, amazing things will happen. I'm telling you, amazing things will happen." -- Conan O'Brien 1/23/2010

    That was a great quote...

It really sucks they didn't give him more time. I guess I'll just stick to Kimmel and Fallon for now untill Conan is back....

That was Ferrell's real wife, Viveca Paulin, he was making out with during Freebird.

'tis a very nice quote... aspire for more people, aspire for more... from yourself... and from all around you...

one of the most obvious truths that so many seem to overlook or be unable to grasp... dare to believe, always give your best, and never stop believing... and amazing becomes more and more possible...

I think he was talking about The Late Late Show vs. Conan's Late Night... before he took over The Tonight Show.

But believe it or not... there were some nights that Ferguson an hour late beat Conan's Tonight Show.

It's sad the way he went out. They didn't even give him a chance. I really wouldn't care if he really did fail but they set him up for failure. Conan is nothing but a class act accepting the first time slot bump and now this. Fu(k Jay Leno and his "fake" innocence acting like he's just taking orders from NBC exes. He could easily said that Conan should be given more time, if he had balls. Why would Jay Leno want to make money for the guys that booted him in favor of Conan? At least Conan had the dignity to walk away unlike Leno who will bend over for tv time and money for his unnecessarily large car collection. In the end the CoCo show will go on.

He beat Conan for one week when Conan was still on Late Night. As for after Conan joined the Tonight Show, Craig only beat him one night when he followed David Letterman's interview with Obama. Not to take anything away from Craig, he's great and beats Fallon consistently now.

Conan's final speech was classy, I'll give him that, but I thought it was funny that he never once mentioned Leno. Jay used the past week or so to stress that he and Conan had no ill feelings toward each other, but Conan's actions made it obvious that Leno was lying through his teeth to save face and future ratings.

I will boycott the Tonight Show as long as Leno is on the air.

A bit late, but kind of forgot about it between all the hoopla these past days.

I just want to pay a tribute to my favorite Conan character. I think he appeared on the 2nd show I watched back when it was on 2:40, and it was literally the most absurd thing I've ever witnessed on TV.

And it's amazing that Conan brought him back one last time this past week. Probably the last time we'll ever see him, since Conan probably won't reuse this bit even if he does have the rights.

It's funny how the 18-49 demo will weep and cry for you when the bandwagon is full and ready to depart.. But when it was empty and slow nobody came aboard... I don't see this much sincere and heartfelt contempt when Carson left the Tonight show or had this much support when John Stewart had his own talk show way the F back in the 90's when it was on MTV and he was better than Conan because he was such a wise ass.. Life moves on and all that is left on the dirt are a bunch of cry babies looking for something to cry about.. And all you guys that are bashing Leno when Conan just the other night talked about how he hated cynicism just makes all of you a bunch of hypocrites...
