Spot on advice. I tested my RAM sticks today. One was fine, the other barely got past 10% before I stopped it with 60 errors or so, lol. I bought a new 1 GB DDR stick today, and so far so good. I still won't believe it's the RAM until successfully going 3 months or more with very very very minimal freezes. Thanks everyone
As a follow-up, make sure to go to your motherboard's manufacturer's page/forums and read up if there are any known problems for it damaging sticks of RAM. Many recent 680sLi boards have some problems with the primary RAM slots and not correctly detecting the right voltages. Another precaution is to go to BIOS and set the suggested voltages given by the manufacturer of your RAM sticks. Again, tweaking BIOS must be exact so be sure to read up on this online if you aren't computer savvy.
I'll have to look this up tonight...I don't have sound anymore...I switched my CPU to an upstairs bedroom with a different monitor and I got nothing...
