any ideas on how to get windows to enable my usb thumb drive?

all other usb devices work, but windows will disable all thumb drives. already tried reinstalling the drivers, and flashing my bios. tried all the ports on my computers. the USB drive is recognized by my bios but once I get into windows then the OS will disable it. if i click enable it will work for 2 seconds and then disable it again.

Are you absolutely certain that that thumb drive actually works? It sounds like that thumb drive is broken to me.

See if it works in a mac.

If it's a usb drive that you found, I'd get a virus scanner for your pc.

My guess if it's not a virus, then it's probably broken or corrupted. A reformat could fix it, but that's your best shot.
