    He means the 8 pin cable on the motherboard. Most intel boards will have the 24 pin power connector as well as another 8 pin that needs to be plugged in. Check your power supply for that one.

    Yeah, the motherboard has two cords that connect to it, the long 24 pin and the "square" 8 pin. The 8 pin cord is usually the one missed.
