That's true. I either use New Egg or Tiger Direct for a researched purchase. But for picking up something minor (don't want to wait for shipping) or just wandering around I'll go to CompUSA. Unfortunately we don't have Fry's here. I've never seen one in my life, but everyone seems to like them. And they always seem to have great deals found by people on websites like FatWallet. Come on over to the east coast Fry's!
They're shutting down all of the CompUSA's in MN. I stopped by a store yesterday evening to see if I could get any deals but they hadn't changed prices yet. I heard one of the staff telling another customer that all sales were final and the liquidators had been there that day and they've got about 90 days to clear out. I'm going to check it out again this weekend to see if prices come down. I've shopped both CompUSA and Best Buy and Best Buy seems to have better deals on computers but for peripherals CompUSa seems better. CompUSA seems to be more of a geeks place to shop than Best Buy. I'm not glad to see them go as I liked the options. We don't have Frys here and there are only a few Circuit Cities here called Ultimate Electronics and they're not very good.
