CompUSA, Falling to Competition, to Shut Down After Holidays

    It depends on the type of warranty. If it is with a third party vendor, then the terms of your warranty should still be valid for the life of the warranty. I think most of the warranty offers at CompUSA are not "in house", so your pops should be fine. But to be safe you should still get it from the horse's mouth.

    There was an article a couple of days ago that said the CompUSA by me is re-opening.

    They trying to open up in markets where there is NOTHING like Fry's ?

    Well. They are re-opening the one in Plano, Texas. Which is right across the street from a Fry's. I don't know how well they would do this time, but I really never had a problem with them, and would shop there again if they have lower price than Fry's.
