No friggin' joke. I have trouble sleeping at night because they've been killing my back for years. I've actually thought about having them reduced simply because of their weight, but then I go out somewhere and it takes me about two minutes to decide to keep them just as they are. If they don't get me anywhere by the time I'm 40, I may have half of them whacked off.
The thing is, depending on your age, waist, chest and cup sizes, you may have already done some rather significant damage by 40, or even sooner. Obviously this might not be the most comfortable forum for discussing your particulars, but if you're experiencing significant pain, you should probably consult someone who knows about this kind of thing.
Actually MacBeth's dead on with that, though--my ex-girlfriend just had an operation to get hers reduced--she had this really tiny frame and this enormous rack, and she would complain ALL the time of chronic back pain--she'd had problems with them since she was like 16. My new girlfriend isn't QUITE so well-endowed, but she's no slouch either.
I would recommend you talk to your doctor...You need to document the pain so that Insurance pays for the breast reduction...My wife had huge cans since Jr. High (DD) and it was not only embarassing to her, but painful over the years...She got them done in her early 30's and she's so happy and pain free now...(also, they get even bigger with pregnancy)...
Fortunately, I'm incredibly average - I'm 5'6", weigh around 135-140, and have a C cup. I will probably never have to worry about breast reduction, and I'd never consider implants (but maybe a lift when I'm way older. ) But if your rack has been killing you for the past few years and you're having trouble sleeping, you DEFINITELY need to see someone about it. It's only going to get worse as you get older, and the older you get, the harder it is to fix the problem. And besides, you shouldn't need your boobs to get you anywhere - you seem like a great person regardless. and Isabel, yes, spaghetti strap tops suck for support - even the ones with the "built in bras" are crappy!
Thanks! I was totally joking about them getting me somewhere. I've gotten incredibly far (professionally) without anyone seeing them. I always hid them during job interviews (yes, it is possible to disguise them while still looking professional!) Big boobs run in my family. My mom has them, my sister's are unreal. My 80+ year old grandma's are still gigantic. We've all experience back pain throughout the years, but none of us have been willing to take the plunge and get them reduced. If they end up causing seriously bad pain or become a major heath risk, I may decide to do it. My doctors have always told me it's best not to do it until then, too. I'm scared to death to get some blood taken...I can't imagine going under the knife and having part of my body whacked off.
this thread is history in the making. a bunch of women discussing their racks....who would have ever thought it would happen here?
I don't know what other guys think, but the spaghetti straps aren't the most fetching thing in the world, either. A lot of neck and shoulder, very hot ... but the S-Strap have that whole uncomfortable-prom-vibe that doesn't flow too well.
What a strange thread! I have never felt the urge to compliment a woman on her breasts. MacBeth got it right. If she has nice ones, she knows that already.
Don't think I'm quite in amfootball's league. I've been wearing a 34D (how's that for a weird size?), but it should probably be a 36DD. I don't want to be a DD. It just sounds scary. I'm tall and have a fairly large bone frame, though, so they never hurt anything. I also try to wear bras with a lot of elastic and adjustable straps, as well as a really strong support structure. No underwires if possible - I hate the whole concept. I also don't want them... ummm, sitting on top of a wire and then flopping around beyond that. Hope this didn't give you too much new material for your signatures...
see I've dated asian girls all my life so C sounds pretty good to me already. but anyway... i just wanted to point out that implants and augmentations are the same thing i thought? but you make it sound like it's two different things... do i just not know what i'm talking about? anyway... WOW. reading this thread it seems like all women have these incredibly huge breasts that are so big its a problem. kind of the opposite of my perceived reality. well anyway... i guess i've just missed out. but i'm definitely not in as bad a shape as my roommate. LOL...
What I was trying to say was either implants or reductions, but it didn't come out that way. sorry for the confusion, I don't know what I was thinking.
I do know what we're all thinking. Meggo - perfect Isabel - how you doin? This is my favorite thread of the year, so far.
Isabel, my wife went to a "specialist" at one of those fancy shops that sell this stuff, to be fitted. She heard somewhere that most women wear the wrong bra. That turned out to be the case with her and she loves the bras she wears now. Just an FYI. BTW, I really miss the years, when we were younger, that she never wore one. I still wish she didn't, even though she's had 2 kids and is in her late 40's. (she doesn't look her age, thank god )
My husband wishes I wouldn't wear them. Of course, it's absolutely necessary to wear one when either going out in public or doing anything active. Around the house - well, maybe not, but I don't want them to be halfway down my stomach when I'm 40 or 50. I'd rather keep gravity from taking its toll. I don't particularly want some lady messing with me up there and telling me that I need to wear an even bigger size than I thought. Sometimes I just wish I could be cute and little because that's what guys seem to really want. (of course, I would assume a big chest isn't a problem, though people probably really prefer C cups. But throw in the rest of the 5'11" body and it's easy to feel like an oversized freak of nature.) Anyway, no strange lady messing with me up there. Sorry - I know you all wanted the pictures from that.
