After reading some reviews, this game is sounding like the best game ever. My birthday is tom., but too bad I don't get any gifts untill Saturday. The playmaker controls sound awesome.
I actually like NCAA better, but then I'm more of a college football fan anyway. NCAA's graphics are better IMO. There's more detail. Madden still kicks ass though. Madden will be arriving at about the same time as I get my roster-filled memory card back from Linderman. Decisions, decisions, decisions...
I would probably like NCAA better if they made it for the computer. I play Madden since they have a PC version, but I'd rather be trying to make Texas Tech respectable than taking the Texans to the Super Bowl.
I preordered from the Game Stop near my apartment one month ago, and they said I won't get it until Aug. 16! What the hell was the point or preordering and putting down a deposit? I'm pissed.
This is awful to suggest, and I rarely do this sort of thing, but when it comes to Madden, you sometimes have to do this sort of thing. Buy it somewhere else, then return the one you get from Gamestop once it finally comes in.
We should start a Madden League. Back in college we used to have double elimination tounaments with 20 people who each put in 20 dollars for 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize at $250, $100 and $50. Random teams.
I just got off the phone with EB GAMES, got some good news If you reserve the game by 5pm today you can pick it up at 7:30pm. also, if you trade in any games toward the purchase of Madden 2004 they will add on an extra 5 bucks. So, i'm about to run out there, i live over in cy fair so i've got a long ways to go to greenspoint but it's well worth it.
I decided to call Game Stop to complain, and I just found out I can pick up my game at 10:30pm tonight! Woo hoo! They said if you trade in 3 games, you get $10 off.
There is one at Greenspoint Mall, right next to foleys, there is one in the galleria and at Katy Mills Mall. I'm sure there are a few other places but those are the ones i know of.
So it must not be that much in demand? I live out and katy, and I guess now I HAVE to take advantage.
which one did you call? i might give them a call before i go back up there but i expect it to be there.
EA = genius. Tweak the graphics and gameplay a little, update the rosters, increment the year by 1, and charge another $50 a pop. I bet there are lots of companies out there that wish they could sell you a new car, TV, phone, lean mean grilling machine, etc. every year
Your right, but I've owned every Madden ever made and only twice have I been disappointed. The game has come so far it is incredible.
It's been more than tweaked. The Owner/Franchise mode has been significantely updated. Oh, and i called EB Games again and they said i can pick it up at 7:30pm tonight. So yes, you can get it.
