Sorry I missed the original post, but glad you're doing better. Hang in there and I hope the improving trajectory continues. My wife's been dealing with severe health issues for the last several years and March was the first full month without an ER visit or hospital stay in six months. Health issues affect the whole family and there were times I was ready to give up and I'm not even the sick one. Give your wife a hug.
Not sure how I missed this thread the 1st time around, but man... don't really have anything to say except that CCorn...you are an inspiration! Also, nice garden. I'd give anything to have a pond in my backyard. I have a pool but a pool or a pond would work. Pond would be good for me.
We are on a (man-made) lake, but when you're in Florida, you kind of get worried about what might be in it lol. I'm just happy that we don't really have a mosquito problem. When we moved here, I tought we would have tons. But we also have a company that sprays every month.

Should I evacuate to Katy?
I don't know anything about those chemicals, I was just curious. What do they do, just hose down the grass and plants and everything? It's not a Florida/Houston level problem, but when (hopefully) we get a few days of proper rain around here, the mosquitos just explode for a couple of weeks...if I had some stuff on hand I'd treat some areas. It is fun sitting outside at dusk and watching the bats fly all the hell around like a WWII dogfight
