A company with 100K employees has an EEOC complaint? I'm shocked and offended.

I think the Democrats supporting this company with billions in subsidies is a real shame. Should request a refund and put the money towards helping working class people buy cheap affordable cars in these tough times. Not rich people buy luxury cars.

Actually it's a state complaint, not EEOC.

That's in the initial tweet Casey.

    The initial tweet.

    Lol!

That's terrible. Why do you support such a racist company?

You literally hate to see and hear this. But at least I get to briefly feel superior to my friends with Teslas?

I read the article and as someone's who's benefitted from Tesla and believe that Elon Musk is helping to advance human development that article is pretty disturbing.

I'm not sure how much Musk responsibility personally holds for this but it would be good for him to address this. This would be also a good opportunity for him to earn to some PR points by putting some of his wealth behind addressing this situation.

Wow, so much for Musk being a hero except I guess to white supremacists. Musk is an interesting guy. Typical monster rich egomaniac set out to save the world but with some very questionable ethics.

Again I'm still not seeing how personally responsible Musk is for this. This though is a good opportunity for him to step in and address the problem.

I can't rule out that there were some racists at Tesla. But to call all of Tesla a "white supremacy hellpit" is utterly ridiculous.

There are racists everywhere, unfortunately. When you run a company as large as Tesla, you cannot look into everyone's heads.

I run a company with a few hundred people. I don't even know many of them. Nowadays, there are processes like a whistleblower hotline, etc.

This might be more of a political thing than anything; after all, Musk publicly got into it with the state of California.

Let's see the evidence and go through due process before we condemn the wealthiest African American in history, Elon Musk.

How can leadership be so unaware of gross violations like this? A founder/CEO sets the culture for an organization, sets hiring practices, management culture, and what gets a blind eye towards. Let's not forget that 4 years ago there was an expose of a racist culture and a $137 million settlement they had with a black employee. So it's hard to claim that Musk was unaware of this.

I'm not saying Elon Musk is racist. I don't think he was a fan of Apartheid even though he grew up under it and benefited from it (seems his farther also owned a gem mine based on an interview). But he certainly doesn't seem very uncomfortable being a hero to the far right who love that aspect of him. But he is awfully quiet on the subject. More than likely, he sees workers as peons and doesn't care how they are treated and is preoccupied with other things. I mean this is a guy who declared Juneteenth a holiday for black employees saying they get a paid day off, but then later mentioned they had to use a vacation day to do it!?!?

So no, I don't think he is a racist, but he certainly is callous and has some responsibility for what appears to be a repeating problem within his company.
