My only addition to this thread is to agree that Dominique Wilkins is hands-down the greatest in-game dunker of all time.
The best known dunker to have never made the NBA is Ronnie Fields, he went to Farragut Academy up here in Chitown. There are videos on the net about him, he is 6'3 and could dunk from the free throw line.
You thought for someone who is that atheletic, some NBA teams would have given him a chance. Come on, how can anyone be worse than Moochie???
