Yeah by Kobe die hard fans. Let's face it MJ's the guy LBJ's trying to beat now, Kobe? That dude got destroyed a year ago. Subtract 3 of Kobe's 5 rings due to Shaq and you have a vastly inferior player.

The main reason why Kobe is such a star is because he was picked only #13 in the draft.

wtf weak era? 99-03 was the nba's weakest period since the aba days and 04-07 wasnt much better because the next generation was still young. Boston and the Lakers were the new emergence of teams stacked with multiple all nba talent, now there's 4 or 5 of them.

Kobe is better because he has a better work ethic. How many time you see Kobe flops?

The guy gets hit on the arm every time he misses a shot, he was the king of the sweep through before Durant took the crown, and falling over = foul for that guy.

So coming into the league with a $100 million Nike contract and the highest expectations of any player EVER while being thrown on to the worst team in the league and having to put it on your shoulders (with a completely disheveled roster) is better for an 18 year old's mental devlopment than entering a structured, proven collegiate program with the support of seasoned upper classmen and maybe the greatest college coach ever?

Most would crumble under the exact same circumstances and LeBron doesn't get nearly enough credit for that.

The Heat team last year were insanely clutch. Mainly because of Lebron.

Kobe might flop less, but he whines just as much.

Lebron is better. Without Shaq, Kobe couldn't even make the playoffs.

How far did Lebron go without any support cast? Even in the Leastern Conference, it surely beats missing playoffs altogether.

Imma get called a hater for this, especially cause of my username, but I really, objectively don't think Kobe is a top 10 all time player.

Teams would also focus on him more. I'm sure his stats wouldn't be as amazing.

Don't worry, you are not alone. Kobe is not top 10 all time. He is a great player, but is is overrated by many.

I may get alot of hate for this, but imo Kobe is much more skilled than LeBron ever will be, mainly because he never had the strength that LeBron has.

Kobe in is prime had the worst team mates in the league, and still managed to make the playoffs in the Western conference. LBJ might've done it too, but it's hard to picture him getting more than 8 ast/ game when you have Brian Cook, Luke Walton on the wing and Kwame Brown down low. Kobe basically scored the team into the playoffs those years, and he was truly indefensible, because he was skilled in every aspect of the game, and will force you to play to your weakness on D.

Basically, Kobe is like GSP in his tactician-like approach. LeBron is more like Jon Jones, whose natural advantage already gives him the edge no matter how he decides to approach a match-up. In a one-on-one game, Kobe would win hands down.

Lebron took a cavs team to the finals and to do that he had to go through the pistons who had won a championship and taken the spurs to seven games. That cavs team was pretty bad outside of Lebron. If you just go off the stats Lebron is better than Kobe. He is a more efficient scorer. He rebounds better. He is also a much better passer than kobe. I would say he was a much better passer than MJ, but MJ was kind of a ball hog.

NOBODY expected the cavs to win...yeah it was a lot of hype but all he had to do was play his game, score...cavs were bad

now if your comparing teams...look at the bulls roster in the mid 80s...dont tell me their that much better than what lebrons cavs

What did those bulls teams win? Nothing. MJ needed Pippen, Grant, etc to win. It takes 5 no one can do it by themselves.

LeBron owns Kobe. LeBron will end with at least 5 rings, probably more.
