Give T-Mac 35 seconds and he can beat the Spurs by himself, even if we're down by say...10 points. :D

I think allot of people on here are just looking at offense when you making this comparison. the dude who said it was close but T Mac =Artist was on the money if you ask me....what artest lacks on offense he makes up for on defense and can make a whole team want to improve on defense because of his leadership.Artest is more durable also and will do the dirty work and has post up game(inside presence). If t Mac jumper isn't falling then he just might have a bad game the whole nite because of him not being able to drive to the whole aggresively.Which takes pressure off the opposing teams defense and leads to fast breaks.

T mac= artest is about right let's not be just hommers here.

I think the Rockets can undoubtedly make it to the end of a game 7 versus the Spurs. IMO, at that point it all depends on who is on the floor:

For the Rox I see TMac, Yao, Bonzi, Battier and Alston

For the Spurs I see Duncan, Parker, Ginobili, Bowen and Horry

Who stops Horry?!? I sure hope somebody can b/c if we can't put a lineup on the floor that prohibits Pop from playing Horry, somebody is going to have to beat that guy. I just don't know if Battier is long enough . . .

Are you kidding me? T-mac can score at will and be a force on the defensive end. Even though his defense is not as good as artest's, its by no means bad. Artest on the other hand, is by no means as clutch as t-mac. T-mac is a superstar. Artest is a really good player. Let's leave it at that. Also the question you have to ask yourself would you build a team around artest or t-mac? Teams don't double Artest like they double t-mac.

the '05 Kings??? WTF???? I think this Rockets team is a title contender. Yao is an absolute unstoppable, unguardable offensive force who will put put up close to 30 and 13 everynight. When healthy, other than LeBron there isn't a better player in the NBA than Tracy McGrady. He almost an equally explosive scorer as Kobe, but he is a better defender and less selfish and and arrogant. Rafer is a quality PG, who put up double-doubles evey night when TMac and Yao were healthy last yr. Battier is a friggin olympic starter, and is though of as one of the top defenders and hustle guys in the NBA. Add Bonzi Wells to the equation, a guy who put up like 25 and 12 on the Spurs in the playoffs last yr, and is a proven playoff performer in other seasons before last yr. We have depth, as well, this is a top 4 seed, a very good team. All they need is a little chemistry like the '04 team and.......look the hell out.
