I recall a late 70s ZZ Top concert, where some dude with floor seats had a garbage bag full of weed. He was very popular.
I still call it the Summit, but regardless...the food court they had there with Pappasitos and Pappa's Seafood absolutely 1000000% blew the doors off any food offerings at any Houston sporting event ever. It's insane how great that was. I miss it every time I'm at Toyota Center eating that crap. Oh, and I was there when we won both rings.
I remember a ton of events. Seems like I spent half of my youth there. Of course, Rockets games galore. Starting from the twin towers to the post-championship teams. WWF shows. I specifically remember the Royal Rumble in 89 (?). Also, the circus came in town every summer. I remember them bringing in the animals on the train over on Westpark. My birthday is in July, so my parents said they came in town for me. A few concerts. Best was Helmet/Primus. Worst was Pantera. It was weird. I actually started disliking them at the concert. Even stuff like Aeros, Hotshots, and Terror/Thunderbears games. Tons of memories. Thanks for making me reminisce about them. I had fun doing this.
