Those made them drinking and strip joint buddies but did not improve communication on the D side.

After the Rockets’ 110-98 loss to the Mavericks on Saturday night, coach Kevin McHale said he didn’t feel like having more deep, long discussions with his players was going to make a difference in their so far disappointing season.

“We’ve had a lot of heart-to-hearts,” McHale said. “As a matter of fact, we talk too much. Talking doesn’t win basketball games. I’ve never seen talking win anything unless you are talking on defense about what coverages you are in, how you’re going to help the guy, where the help is.

“The rest of the stuff doesn’t work. If you’re talking, you’re not playing.”

The only talking McHale wants his team to do is on defense.

Forward Corey Brewer said defensive communication has been the team’s biggest issue all season.

“We know the coverages, but if you don’t talk to each other out there, you aren’t going to get it done,” Brewer said. “Until we talk out there on the court, we are never going to get a win.”​

 

Just when you thought Brewer and Milk Hair were gone in the distant past, we are reminded it was only couple years ago.

I think not everyone should have a mouth piece on their headset.

 

Ariza was the signal caller on the team if I'm correct. Ariza was the one that got everyone in their spots. It's PJ's (or maybe CP3's) job now. I can see how the defense is all out of sorts when PJ went from a guy taking direction to the guy giving the direction..

I hope this gets cleared up soon because game 2 is the most must win non must win game of the season until game 3's must win non must win game..

If PJ says there is communication problems, they must be big defensive communication problems. Loosing our D coach and Ariza, it appears someone needs to step up big time. Not to panick, but def concerned.

 

BobMelo Anthony is gonna get Bob D'Antoni fired again.

 

There will be changes, you think is the only one?

 

My only concern is player only meetings. If one of those happens, I'll be crying myself to sleep.

 

This is the part that will take sometime because of cp3 having to take on this role . James Harden will have to help take on more like a shifting of roles. Honestly you dont just fix that type of communication. Really Pj EG Cp3 and James Harden will all have to take on that role interchangably
