Why don't we just have a reality forum, where nothing but the TRUTH is told. Mo does not fit any Rocket needs!!!! ...oh and another thing. You mean like how Mo is a great fit for the Rockets, and how there's only about 8 PF's in the game I'd rather have? At least from my perspective, THAT'S the truth. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier and Mo Taylor fan club! Looking for next year's Jason Collier or Dan Langhi? Cat, do you mean you think this year's Mo is a good fit for the Rockets, or do you mean last year's Mo? 'Cause, I could live with 6 1/2 boards a game if he showed the offensive skills he evidently possessed as a Clipper. But the team can't cover for his weaknesses if he doesn't bring his strengths every night. 17 and 6.5 is one thing, but 10 and 4 is a very different story. ------------------
What I meant was a starting PF. Where would we be without KT? ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. This restless craving in the souls of men spurs them to climb, and to seek the mountain view. -- Ella Wheeler Wilcox
Bob, I think we could be in even better shape, because Mo would get more minutes. I don't like KT a lot, but I do realize he can play, so don't get me wrong. I'm just saying I wouldn't mind trading him one day, because Rudy is sticking with him at least in my opinion much longer than he should. SC, If Mo had the same role he did as a Clipper, he would very easily get you those numbers and probably much more. But his role, minutes, and other things are so different that you can't expect equal stats. I like Mo more this year than in any other previous year, and I am referring to now. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier and Mo Taylor fan club! HP wrote : " ... What games were you talking about where Francis fails to wave off Mo? ... " I assume that is not rhetorical? Saw both of the above described plays in Seattle game. Saw one previous occasion similiar to above (i.e. Mo demanding ball repeatedly in post until he got the ball and then scored)in the loss to Kings (2nd qtr). He surely played poorly in that game. Webb was all over him. But the point I was making was that he not only shouldn't be waved off as much as he is, but, when he demands the ball THEN produces, it does a couple of things: 1. gives confidence to the passer that this is a safe and reliable outlet, 2.gives Mo confidence, cause man, he really needs some confidence these days. IMHO: Mo Taylor is a better Power Forward that what he has been demonstrating since he started wearing the Houston PJ's. If the team as a whole cattered to, fed passes to, and generally supported others (like Walt Williams all of last year), to get them to produce near their level of expectation ... then they can have some patience with Maurice. An added note: Mooch has got to be the most cognizant of Rocket passers. He KNOWS who needs the ball and when/where to get it. His "pro-ball-maturity" is one of the best I have seen in a relative newcomer in a long time. Maybe Jason Kidd comes close in comparison during his rookie and first two years, but Mooch is a bona-fide big league passer right out of the chute. ------------------
Mooch does have a little John Lucas in him. I wonder if Francis is watching and learning. Sure hope so. ------------------ When we tire of well-worn ways, we seek for new. This restless craving in the souls of men spurs them to climb, and to seek the mountain view. -- Ella Wheeler Wilcox
I like Mo more this year than in any other previous year, and I am referring to now. Cat, That's not really saying much based on your previous comment in another thread: http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/009550-3.html "I thought that. But you must consider this was after seeing him play 1 or 2 times against the Rockets. That's all I had ever seen him" So, what you're really saying is is that you like Taylor better this year than you did in the 1 or 2 games that you saw him play before joining the Rockets. That's not really much basis for an opinion. ------------------
